Snag proof frog original.
Don't get me wrong. I guess it's like most baits, stay within it's limits and it's a really good bait! Would like to try the one Rolo mentioned one day. Let us know how your frog turns out... As Ever, Skillet

Snag proof frog original.
I really like throwing the snag proof into situations where you don't really have enough room for walk the dog retrieve or on top of vegetation where you can't. Used the same one for years (really) and never had the problem of "coming apart at the seams". After having it that long I think if it was it would have. Will admit to having hung one up and lost it. Hung it on a small willow (18" or so). The line wrapped around and the lure pulled up the side, putting the hooks in line to hang :'(. That's the only way I've ever hung one. That thread I wrote about earlier, most of the guys said the hook-up ratio to hits was kind of dismal on all the soft bodied frogs. Hope this helps instead of mudding the waters. BTW Make sure and hold on to that lady that buys you fishing lures that are actually worth throwing As Ever, Skillet

Panfishing in Southeast Florida- Pics!
Those really are some nice pics. and Oscars. I guess their coloring and general shape, they remind me of Bream. With that size, do they fight like a Bream. They would be great on light tackle... As Ever, Skillet

Hang on to Your Guns!
If Muddy hadn't posted what he did, I probably would have kept quiet on this. This is as much for you as anything. Growing up in the South and living out on the back side of nowhere, I am always in the small minority with this subject. My Daddy didn't hunt or ever own a gun as far as I know, so I didn't grow up with a taste for it. I finally went hunting twice when I was around 17 (first and last time), not a real great experience. I never picked up a gun again until basic training and then Viet Nam. Got to know an M60 way too well. 'Nuff said on that. I really do know that guns don't kill people, people kill people. Human nature being what it is (the best and the worst on this planet), we can always find a way to do harm to each other. I am not for stricter gun control nor am I for the idea you can own Claymore Mines for rabbit hunting. I really wish that those folks that are so much more intelligent than me would come up with a solution sooner than later (there was no sarcasm in this last sentence)... As Ever, Skillet

Snag proof frog original.
I've used one for quite a while now and like it. I guess you have to take that with a grain of salt because I've not used any of the other type of frogs. Can't seem to get it to walk like like the bronzeye. I started a thread on this a while ago. Do a search for it, it's worth it! As Ever, Skillet

Broken Fin Fishing Fools
Avid, I was going to try and come up with something about X3 being this voice coming from deep within my tackle box, but couldn't pull it off. I will say how much your sense of humor helps lighten things when needed. We drove down to Killeen, TX for the birth of our 2nd grandchild and it was like bringing a drug store with us (for me).The great thing (everyone keep their fingers crossed) is, I've only got about another 10 days and and most of the meds will stop. If all the tests are as good as they have been so far it will be permanent LBH hope you made it thru the day OK... As Ever Skillet

5'6" pistol grip bait casting rod?
Thanks Reelmech and Raul, hope to give something like one of those 2 a try one day. I'm one of those old stick-in-the-mud folks that it takes 2 come alongs and a large pry bar to change the way I do something when it works for me. I started fishing back when there were "nothing but pistol-grips". Guess that's why I'm still using them... As Ever, Skillet

5'6" pistol grip bait casting rod?
Boy, was I ever wrong! I was under the bad impression that I must be the only one left that liked them that much. I rarely need the distance some of you guys do so I never got anything different. Sorry I just thought and I do have a 6'M Bionic Blade, but it is a pistol grip. Maybe I've been looking in the wrong places but it seems the higher end rod manufactures don't even carry them. It would seem like that as many of the folks as we have on the forums that we must represent a pretty good cross section and it wouldn't be that way... As Ever, Skillet
