Classic Meet Up?
I was there, but skipped the line. I thought it had already opened so I walked right in like I owned the place! Well, technically I do. Paid for it with my tax dollars. As I was walking out of the restroom I saw some guy in a t-shirt talking to two others telling them the Expo wasn't open yet. I figured I was past the point of return and started around.

Good job Glenn! Thanks for posting

Bracing For A Monster
Come East, go to the Classic. Then to home after the storm passes. No matter what you do, be safe.

Trailer Bearings Question.
Assuming you can read the part numbers on your bearings, races and seals, you could take them to a good auto parts store i.e. NAPA of a good mom and pop. They can cross reference the numbers and look up new ones and they will be considerably cheaper than the boat dealer. To your question, change the races. Cheap insurance.

Hopefully your hotel will have both! Looking forward to meeting you Saturday.

I hope he likes our little town. Man, the pro's sure are everywhere. You can't sling a dead cat and not hit a wrapped Tundra hauling a boat!

Classic Meet Up?
If I'm not mistaken, you can access both buildings without crossing a street. This is all the old world's fair site. You just walk under the viaduct. What are the Expo hours? I know that Glenn has said that it opens at 10:00. What time does it close? I can't find it. Found it right after I posted this. Sorry

Welcome To Tennessee
I think that all schools have their "rabid" fans. Don't get me wrong, I've been a Volunteer all of my 59 years, but I'm a realist. Everything runs in cycles, some last longer than others. I remember Bama having some down years, as has Florida. Vandy, KY and MSU football are rocking right now. Heck, who in their right mind would have ever thought that UT MENS Basketball would be doing so well. All that to say, I like to see all SEC teams win! I do want UT football to retain it's glory years, will it happen? I sure hope so. I show respect to all SEC fans, maybe with some mild needling, but respect none the less. So you come on and visit TN, wear you gator stuff, your Bama stuff, your LSU Tiger stuff, etc, etc, etc. Heck, come on and move to East TN, you'll love it.

Classic warning
I don't live down there, but do travel through from time to time. There are several hotels down that way, but I don't recall which one's. You could stay in Lenoir City and be closer to Knoxville.

Classic warning
That's a good one!

Classic warning
There's a pothole near where I work that I'm gonna drop shot in if it rains again! I heard some dock talk that they're hitting.

Rotater cuff or pulled muscle ! ?
I agree with everyone else, go to your MD. That said, did you feel a "pop" or something like that while under the house? My wife and one of my close friends both tore their rotator cuffs a few years ago. Both have said that they felt a "poping" sensation when it happened.

What's this boat worth?
It's well worth $500.00. It would make a nice platform for your project. Just be ready to roll up your sleeves and get dirty. Like Way2slow mentioned, not a good way to store the motor, it could very well be a boat anchor depending on how long it's been sitting.

Classic Meet Up?
From my understanding, attending the Fishing Expo and the Classic are completely free. I've seen nothing about paying to get in. I'll ask a friend tomorrow, he's been to two Classics. Maybe Glenn or some of the others will chime in.

For the breakfast? No tickets required. Just show up, be hungry and eat. Edit, you'll have to pay at some point.

Classic warning
I hesitated to make this post, but I messaged Glenn last night and he approved. If your driving in for the Classic, or flying in and renting a car, BE CAREFUL DRIVING! Due to our freezing weather, then warming into the 70's accompanied by our massive rainfall last week, the interstate, highways and some side roads have massive potholes. Seriously folks, I'm talking huge potholes! TDOT, Knox County and the city are working hard to get them patched, but some are reopening. With our rainfall today and predicted freezing temperatures this week, it may get even worse. In example, Tuesday before last, there were 22 cars pulled over on I-640. All 22 had blow outs, some with bent wheels. Just yesterday my wife and I passed a car on the side of i-40 in town. They were pulling a utility trailer. One of the wheels was gone. The axle was pulled from it's mount, and twisted under the trailer! I drive all over town for work, the potholes are everywhere. I don't want any of you to break down.

Classic Meet Up?
Reservations for breakfast have been made at the Hilton Downtown Knoxville. The addressis 501 W. Church St. It's for Saturday, 03/16/2019 at 0830 (8:30AM). The table is reserved under "Bass Resource". The reservation is for 10, but more can attend. According to the guy I spoke with yesterday, they have a breakfast buffet for $14.50. If I understood him correctly, you can also order from the menu. I know that this is kind of expensive for breakfast, but when you see how close it is to the Expo it will be worth it. You'll only have to park once, and walk a very short distance (1 block).

Classic Meet Up?
Hilton sounds good to me, I'm there! As far as being convenient, The Hilton will be best. Just have to walk across the street to the Expo!

Classic Meet Up?
Glenn, looking at Cafe4's website, they open at 0900 on Saturday.

Classic Meet Up?
Ok, just got off the phone with the Hilton on Clinch Ave. It's basically right across the street from the Expo site. They have a breakfast buffet, free for guests (I think), $14.50 for non guests. Kind of high, but really close by. The Holiday Inn, Worlds Fair Park location is literally on top of the Expo Center. The Expo Center and the Convention Center make up the buildings that are to be used for the Classic Fishing Expo. Any way, they too serve breakfast to non guests. Not sure how much or the format, i.e. buffet or menu ordering. The guy I spoke with was nice, but not super helpful. There are several Cracker Barrel's near by, but not in walking distance. There is a Shoney's Restaurant about 1.5 miles away, on TnRiver46's side of the bridge. They have a breakfast bar. Can't vouch for how good it is, haven't eaten there in years.

Classic Meet Up?
Cafe 4 is really good! We've eaten there several times. Seems like cooking became "Hazardous Duty" when we retired. We eat out way too much! Built a new retirement house two years ago. My wife got all upgraded, really nice appliances that are rarely used. We could have got by with a YETI, a Coleman stove and a toaster. I digress. Glenn, what time does the Expo close daily? I'm thinking for space and parking, Barley's Taproom and Pizza might be a better choice. It's a big place (old warehouse) with two floors. Maybe we could do dinner? Breakfast places in close proximity to the events are limited. I'm just not sure about the motels? Is anyone staying at the Hilton or the Holiday Inn? They are super close, as is the Tennessean.

Classic Meet Up?
I'm in! Pete's is at 540 Union Ave. 37902, 865-523-2860. About a block or so from the Expo site. Their Saturday hours are 0700 to 1400. Everyone should wear something fishing related so hopefully we'll find each other.
