Yesterday's creek trip
I own three old "Krippled Killers". They were given to me by a friend about 20 years ago. I'll have to give them a try.

Reel grease
Thanks for the replies. I had never heard of different grease's for casting or spinning reels and thought I would ask. I've always used Abu Garcia oil and grease for everything. I had seen that Lucas made reel oil and wanted to try it. Like I said earlier, I use their vehicle products and gun oil. Thanks again!

Reel grease
I was at Academy Sports yesterday. I decided to pick up some reel oil, and seeing that they had Lew's oil, made by Lucas I got some. I religiously use Lucas products in all of my vehicles. Anyway, they also had Lew's Reel Grease, again by Lucas, formulated for both casting and spinning reels? I always thought that reel grease was reel grease. Anyone ever heard of these products and what the difference is?

Anyone have experience with Perfection Lures sure hook set Shakey head jigs?
Thanks for the reply Jig Man. What is your experience with them as far as standing up and not falling over. I guess you must like the concept as you build your own. I've watched some of David Dudley's videos and it looks pretty sweet. I like to fish moving water, rivers and creeks if it matters.

I saw them at the tackle shop and picked up some in 1/16 and 3/16. I like the titanium "legs" that make it stand up. Do any of you have any experience with these? Thank you

Bass Fishing Armageddon
I got his ebook called "How to catch more bass, the light tackle way". I had it printed on really good, thick paper and bound, that way I would always have it. It's a great book, other than a few typo's. It really changed my way of fishing. I much prefer light line, light tackle fishing although I still power fish. Thankfully I was able to contact Craig months before his untimely passing and thank him.

Finding a good backpack
While at Walmart the other day, I saw Ike's new tackle box backpack. I wasn't in the market, but gave it a once over. I think it held two of the deep 3700 size boxes, several zippered storage pockets. Seemed well constructed and had smooth zippers. Not sure of your budget, but it was $39.95.

If you had the ability to visit your favorite lake without water, what kinds of things would you look for?
Other than the obvious, unknown rock piles, creeks, depressions etc, I would look for a town! There's an area on Norris Lake in East TN called the Loyston Sea. It's a pretty vast, and deep, area in the lake. You may wonder why it's called the Loyston Sea? The town of Loyston, TN is under the sea. The streets are still there, some street signs, walls and foundations. Years ago, TVA dropped the lake level for repairs at Norris Dam I think. A local TV station did a story as some of the stuff was visible then.

Tiger King (Netflix)
We watched the first four episodes last night. Goodnight, it was like passing a trailer park after a tornado, you can't help but look! I'm pretty much addicted now. As a disclaimer, I grew up in trailer parks. Thankfully, not while a tornado was coming in.

Are any lakes closing in your area?
As far as I know all AR rivers and lakes are open. Like other's, I'll find a way to go if they were to close.

Alumacraft 1447
Hard to say about the trailer without some measurements and pictures, but I bet that it would work for a 1448. If you can get it for $250.00, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Get the motor running, clean it up and try fishing out of it. If you don't like it, or it doesn't meet your needs sell it for $500.00.
