  1. Kaku arent made in the USA, having said that I previously had 2 of the 10 ft Wahoo and they were great little kayaks.
  2. I caught a few small ones last week on a Mepps, a lot of fun on a kayak.
  3. Im curious about them as well even though I have a couple pairs of prescription polarized sunglasses.I currently have the xtra active and love them and seen they just came out with xtra active that are also polarized.
  4. If you are looking for a small and lightweight battery the Nocqua is about as small as you can get at 3"x3"x3" Mine has been running my fish finder issue free now for a few years. https://nocqua.com/product/12v-battery/
  5. Any of them should work, I had a Raymarine dragonfly and upgraded to a Humminbird Helix 5 with DI. The bird has everything except side imaging. For me GPS with mapping was a must have.
  6. I would like to but I drive a 98 Wrangler with a soft top and from spring until it gets too cold to stand the doors and windows are off of it.
  7. Nice! I had my heart set on a SS107 as soon as they announced them but as luck would have it I got a brand new Native Slayer Propel 10 on clearance from Cabelas for a little over $1000.
  8. Lurenet has Bad Mamma and Bad Jamma in a couple colors for $1.49 a pack with free shipping over $25. If you sign up for their news letter you get another 15% off coupon as well. https://www.lurenet.com/internet-specials
  9. I have one local to me that you have to be invited by current member then be placed on a waiting list and its not even a big lake. The crazy thing is literally across the street is a public lake around the same size.
  10. Does the discount come off before you check out or do they refund the difference after on Daiwa? Its confusing to me.
  11. The best thing Ive done in 2021 is to quit watching news period, be it local or national. I dont do politics and use apps to look up weather conditions.
  12. I see them for sale on FB bait selling groups with a very large mark-up on price. I cant stand to see price gouging regardless of supply and demand.
  13. My grandpa who passed away several years ago. I will always have a fondness for a Zebco 33.
  14. I fish from a kayak and it used to be 4-5 hours, that changed in May after my accident.I was only able to make it 2 hours last Thursday. Im hoping to make it longer on my next outing.
  15. Sexy shad, chrome and black/chrome for me.
  16. I like zman but had to throw away half a pack of trd craws just yesterday. I forgot and left them in my plastics bag on the back of my kayak seat, melted mess. Tennessee get a little bit hot in the summer!
  17. Im currently shopping for one with rubber coating to keep hooks from hanging up.I fish from a kayak where space is a premium and have a fold-able Frabill with the plain nylon netting, it is terrible for hanging hooks. Im looking at the floating Foreverlast due to its size. I suffered a head injury at work in May which caused a stroke, 3 months later I got all use back except my left hand. I can only grip with the hand, zero fine motor skills so the simplest of task is a real challenge especially holding a rod. I went yesterday for the first time since the accident and caught one fish. I was able to get it unhooked but the hook got stuck in the net and took me quite a while to get it loose. Steering my kayak with a bad left hand is a whole other woe since the handle is on the left side. To me this is the most important fish I have ever caught as I wasnt sure I could ever fish again!
  18. Nice Jeep and trailer! Mine is a 98 with my slayer 10 but I bought a truck a few years back so I dont really use the Jeep to carry it much anymore.
  19. I dont have experience with either but a friend of mine had the bite and absolutely loved it. The bad part is unless you are able to demo both of them you really wont know if either would work for you until you get them on the water.I would watch as many videos as you can on both yaks and search the web for reviews.
  20. I drive a 98 Wrangler with a soft top and was throwing my first yak on top,Old Town Vapor 10, it got old pretty fast. I ended up buying a Native slayer 10 and there was no way I was trying to fight to get it up there.I found a nice little trailer for $75 and built it for my yak.The nice thing is I keep my yak on it ready to go at anytime. Im not sure what kind of car you have but you could always add a hitch then source a jet ski or similar trailer for it.
  21. I wear prescription and have a pair of Wiley X and a pair of Amphibia. The nice thing about the Amphibia is they float.
  22. I can but I have terrible balance so I usually dont even try to.
  23. My Native Slayer Propel 10, absolutely love this kayak. Its got everything I would want or need in a kayak set-up for fishing.
  24. They went on clearance in January 2 yrs ago, couldnt pass it up for that price, I sold both my Kaku Wahoos to cover the cost. I agree about the anchor, I have one but havent used it once and always leave it at home.
  25. I have the slayer 10 and love it, being able to make small adjustments to either correct position or backup in instant has been a game changer for me fishing. The only time I would like to have a trolling motor is simply running from spot to spot or over longer distances. I do leave the seat as well as the propel drive in place and it ends up being pretty heavy all in. I did pick up a c-tug cart for it and although it works well for moving it around its a pain to get it underneath and strapped into place. I had my heart set on a Wilderness radar 115 to have the option of adding the pedal drive later on but ended up getting the slayer for a little over $1000 from Cabelas. I think your best bet is to demo as many as possible from any/all dealers in your area. Its a large investment for a plastic boat and the worst thing is having buyers remorse after you have already bought it. This slayer is my third yak in three years.
