  3. I love a jig with a trailer, works well for me most of the time.
  4. A co-worker dropped car parts from 40 ft onto my head. It caused me to have a stroke and some brain issues Ill deal with the rest of my life but Im lucky, and happy, to be alive.
  5. I was already going bald so my head injury in May didn't help any and since I can't grow much hair on my head Ive been trying to grow out a goatee without a mustache.
  6. Welcome to Bass Resource!
  7. I put the full MarineMat kit on my Native Slayer Propel right after I bought it 3 yrs ago and it has held up great. I take very good care of my kayak though, wash it often and keep in the garage so Im sure that helps with longevity.
  8. Welcome back!
  9. I wear an orange NRS Chinook, it has served me well the last 3 years.
  10. Welcome to BR!
  11. You win this one hands down!
  12. I just love being on my kayak outdoors, its therapeutic, catching a few fish is the huge added bonus.
  13. I think your best bet would be a trailer to make it easier to load/unload. You have to keep the total weight in mind by the time its all rigged out, it all adds up quickly. My Native slayer weighs well over 100 the way its rigged. and after fishing all day in the summer heat its all I can do to get it loaded into my truck bed if I don't drive my Jeep and trailer. I think above all else is to demo the kayaks your interested in if you have a dealer close-by or you can find anglers willing to let you try out their rigs if you use Facebook there are tons of owners groups etc. Welcome to BR, please always wear a PFD!
  14. Ive had my kayak for 3 yrs and finally broke down and ordered a Yakattack anchor trolley. Im thinking of also adding the quickstop anchor system from Yakgadget if I can swap the mount for the pole to the right side.https://yakgadget.com/collections/quickstop-anchor-systems/products/quickstop-adjustaflex-y-plate-anchor-system
  15. I enjoy buying and having any and all things bass fishing, my wallet not so much, but we gotta keep the bait monkey happy. .........Off my back monkey!
  16. I reset my Helix 5 last time I did a firmware update and I don't think I got it dialed back in as good as it was before that. I used to know about where I had it all set but I suffered a brain injury in May that causes me to forget certain things. I took my kayak out a few weeks back and literally didn't see what I thought was a single fish the whole time I was out there. The water was 42* though and there may not have been any around, not sure. My kayak is pedal driven and cruises around 2mph.The Helix has everything but SI and I basically need all the settings for it to make sure its dialed-in. Thanks in advance for any and all help!
  17. Im bad enough trying safely launch my kayak, dont need no boat.

I also just picked up some tubes and tube jigs to try this year, we shall see if they produce for me.
  19. Sorry for your loss, they are definitely more than pets and truly are family.
  20. Thanks, Im still figuring out how to fish but thankfully I have been able to adapt. Im just glad Im still here to enjoy it. Sorry to the OP, didn't mean to derail the thread!
  21. I was hurt at work in May that ultimately caused a stroke and I have very limited use out of my left hand still. I can grip but have zero fine motor skills. I swapped the handle to the left side on a spinning reel to try and couldn't do it.
  22. If I could reel with my left hand I would have ordered a few myself.
