  1. Update on the $35 Tatula CT type-R! This morning I received an email from PayPal saying the item was shipped. I have no idea what this means really. If it was a compromised account I think the persons pay pal would have to also be compromised to say it’s shipped. Also not sure what they have to gain by saying it’s shipped if it’s a scam? Tiny bit of hope that it may actually come. Still believe it probably will not.
  2. Not yet. eBay said the item may still ship as usual and if you do not receive it to file a complaint. I believe the estimated delivery for me was next Wednesday so I’m gonna wait till Wednesday to confirm wether or not it’s coming then I’ll ask for a refund if it doesn’t (seems likely it will not come)
  3. There are spots I fish were 90% of the time they bite within the last 10 ft. I fish almost all baits all the way back
  4. Interesting. I had this exact scenario 1 other time over 6 years of buying on eBay and eBay refunded my money the next day
  5. eBay emailed me that it may be from a compromised account. I’ll wait a couple days if it doesn’t ship I’ll ask eBay for a refund
  6. I pulled the trigger on it even though I have a high bid on another. It says almost gone with 18 sold in the last hour. Thinking if it was a scam they wouldn’t have limited it to around 20 reels so I’m hoping it’s real.
  7. I would guess in a small lake or pond a bass will be a bass regardless of type
  8. Yea eBay protects buyers so if it would be fake you would get a refund. Before I seen it I bid on an auction one for 40 dollars. If I get outbid I’m gonna order one of these.
  9. I’m right handed but I grew up fishing spinning rods. So I always use left hand baitcasters. Just feels better for me not having to switch hands
  10. The seller is from Texas and there’s an optional warranty offered with it and claims to be authorized dealer with 100% feedback. There was 1 time I bought something on eBay and a couple days later got a message saying the sellers account was compromised and I was given A refund so I suppose that’s a possibility.
  11. Nope. They are for sale for 35 dollars with free shipping not on auction.
  12. Looking on eBay this morning I found a ton of Daiwa Tatula ct type-R for sale for 30-40 dollars. Anyone know why they’re so cheap all of the sudden?
  13. Brand absolutely matters for me because some brands are after anglers more than fish. I try different brands but I tend to stick to the proven brands. My favorites are Rapala and Mepps.
  14. I start with my favorite (a popper) and then just keep trying different ones till I find what’s working that day. Time of year affects it a little. Usually don’t throw a frog when there’s no frogs around although you can still catch them

I use it for heavy fluorocarbon leaders on my sturgeon rig. The 80lb+ leaders are almost impossible to tie a decent knot with.
  16. Cavitron claims to be the slowest and seems to have the highest praise from the guys I talk to. I only tried a couple kinds including the cavitron and I like it.
  17. Personally I’ve fished abu, pfleuger, shimano, and Daiwa. Daiwa is hands down my favorite wether it’s casting or spinning. Just got a Tatula ct and I love it. I haven’t tried lews yet so I can’t say much about them other than I hear good things.
  18. I have one and I wish I would have got the medium/heavy. I also have the medium and it doesn’t handle jerkbaits or crankbaits that pull a little harder very well. It puts a lot of stress of the rod. Especially in current. I mainly use it for plastics or spinners now my recommendation is to get a heavier hmg or I now use a med/heavy moderate action St. Croix Bass X for crankbaits and jerkbaits
  19. I like 2 piece rods since it’s a chore to get my 1 piece rods in my car. The problem is their are almost no 2 piece rods in the price range I buy. My favorite rods are my St. Croix Bass X and Fenwick HMG. I wish they made 2 piece models.
  20. There are a huge amount of variables that go into the water temp. For 5 dollars on eBay you can by a aquarium thermometer with a probe to check the temp.
  21. I’ve never used them but question for those that do. What type of baits do you use them on?
  22. And I ordered a ct one day to early ?
  23. You can still find them on eBay for $80
  24. How do you like your Tatula CT? I just ordered my first one
