Can I put JJ's in a spray bottle?
I wish it was that simple. I don't pre dip because I like the really strong smell it puts off. I know the smell is permanent but IMHO it's still stronger it's first hour or so. I go threw close to a pack of ragetail craws a day thanks to the bluegill. So I'm always putting on a new one and I end up dipping several times a day. Then this stuff can gas up and drip off the lid onto you as well. I'd say I'm loosing close to half my JJ's to it gassing up and yes it's in a cooler. So it would be nice to find a spray bottle solution. It would be tough to work it as a die but for the clear it would be perfect. Hmm... I pre-dip exclusively. I still have some plastics stored in sealed bags that were dipped during the Guntersville Roadtrip in March, 2008! Dipping outside, at home, results in zero mess and waste. Generally, I use JJ's on jig trailers, MegaStrike on all other plastics. I like both products and HIGHLY recommend them to everyone. 8-)

What is the best $200 or less rod?
The AVC68MXF is a better rod for plastics and medium weight jigs. The AVC66MF is the better choice for treble hook lures: Fast Action with a soft tip. My AVC66MF is a dedicated topwater/ jerkbait rod. BTW, $150 - $200 is the target range for most manufacturers "high-end". This gives everyone a price advantage to G. Loomis. I have a Dobyns, Techna AV and Lamiglas rod in this pricing slot. However, I'm a St. Croix fan and the majority are Avids: AVS66MLF, AVC66MF, AVC70MM and AVC70MF. Above the slot, I also have two St. Croix Legend Elite: EC70MHF and ES70MF. The rest are G.Loomis. 8-)

The methodology you describe will simply project an average pricing point derived from the data base: recorded prices over a given period of time. It has no "predictive" value.

Guaranteed To Catch Bass
On sale at Cabela's: http://www.cabelas.com/prod-1/0049274122385a.shtml Regarding the rods, take a look at both. Although they seem like they would be about the same, in fact they are significantly different.

centrifugal or magnetic, which do you prefer and why
Always "out", but not beyond the last keeper. Two "on" are immediately opposed to each other. Three on is every other brake on. Start with all six on if this is your first baitcaster and crank the cast control down finger tight. Over time you will loosen things up to increase casting distance.

Looking for reviews on rod and reel
Get the rod rated Medium Power, not ML. I would recommend the Shimano Symetre 2500FJ or Stradic 2500FI reels. 8-)

Guaranteed To Catch Bass
Welcome aboard! Use what you are comfortable with, 6 1/2' or 7', it doesn't really matter. I prefer Medium Power/ Fast Action for an "all-around" rod, but I fish mostly structure in open water on ponds, lakes and rivers. If you fish cover (grass, weeds and timber), you might prefer Medium Heavy Power. Your all-around reel should be a 2500 series spinning reel or 6.2:1 baitcaster. Both are pretty standard in all brands, but I'm a Shimano Man. For line I suggest Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft #6 for spinning tackle and #12 for baitcasting. I also treat my line with KVD Line & Lure Conditioner. Good luck!

Swim Bait Question
Don't be silly. Tournament time is not for "practicing". When you're fun fishing, try the GYCB Swimming Senko in and around cover or structure, particularly grass. For open water, the Mattlures Baby bass over structure. You can fish the Baby Bass on a heavy bass rod, special equipment is not required. 8-)
