    Welcome aboard! 8-)
  3. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! Great post and pics...
  4. Strong, smooth, silent and reliant. The best value in the Shimano line-up is the Stradic 2500FI, ICAST "Best In Class". The FI incorporates many features that were previously available only with the Stella. 8-)
  5. I don't think so...My last Ford was a 1976 Granda, among the worst vehicles ever built. The same could be said for the final run of the original Jeep Wagoneer, my last "domestic. I'm glad Chrysler is bankrupt, GM's pending demise and hope to see Ford follow suit soon. I own two Toyotas and two Nissan. Previously, three Volvos and a Honda CRV. I will never buy another of the old "Big Three". BTW, three of my four "foreign" cars were built in the USA, my Nissan here in Tennessee. >
  6. #12 Yo-Zuri Hybrid covers it all (baitcasters), but if you want to kick it up a notch, #15 for jigging line. Number of times I have been broken off by a fish: -0- 8-)
  7. Man, you're killin' me! Great post...beautiful fish! 8-)
  8. Like many of our members, I'm a collector. I enjoy playing with my equipment as much as actually fishing. To me, having the exact tool for a specific function is key, even if I rarely (never) use it! As for lures...well...I still collect them, but less than 25% have ever (will ever) be used. I always test them new out of the box, but for most, they will never get wet again. 8-)
  9. 7 1/2" Larew Salty Ring Tail is highly recommended by Catt. You might want to try them, too! #2 The Rage Tail 10" Anaconda is the hottest new item on the market. This bait is a "must have" if you target bigger bass. 8-)
  10. Evolution Shak-e2 http://www.evolutionlures.com/ 8-)
  11. Perhaps the rod is more important for "catching", but your reel is what makes "fishing" fun. By this I mean a high quality reel takes the hassle out of the equation which makes everything more enjoyable. The Bass Pro combination Catt suggested would be a good buy at your pricing point. 8-)
  12. Call G. Loomis Customer Service and they will send you a couple of tips for free. If you are just slightly mechanically inclined, which I am not, you can fix it yourself: With a lighter, CAREFULLY heat the tip without burning the blank. Then, GENTLY remove the tip. Clean the tip of the blank, apply a tiny drop of Super Glue to the tip of the blank and replace the old with the new. You need to check things quickly to be sure the tip is straight. Get someone to help you and the alignment will be easier. If you aren't comfortable doing this, still order the tips and find someone that has replaced tips before. It's really no big deal, but I would have someone do it for me. 8-)

  14. I think they all vanished. Now there is nothing to attract baitfish or hold bass. They have either moved or died. :-X
  15. The Bulls were making the same argument in late December and January when the DJIA traded over 9000. I think we will trade down through 7000 and stay there for awhile. The negatives include shutting down automobile manufacturing for three or four months; the collapse of commercial real estate; residential inventory backlogs and a few "surprises". The "technicals" may look favorable, but the "fundamentals" do not. p.s. This is a perfect example of the "spin": Bank America has continued to rally because they ONLY need $33.9 billion to be "adequately" capitalized. As the definition of nationalization continues to evolve, BAC remains "independent". :-?
  16. The "winning bait/lure" might be influenced by a guy's sponsorship.
  17. Nice "catchin'", Interesting pics, too. BTW, How much would you guess those little bitty bass weighed? I think some our members (like me) would consider those some pretty fine fish! -Kent 8-)
  18. I fish them as jig trailers. To fish them as a traditional grub, I would suggest a 1/8 oz jig head. 8-)

  21. During a casual conversation with a few guys at Kentucky Lake, Big-O made the following statement (paraphrased): "If you find the right location, select the best lure and your presentation is what the fish want, you will probably catch some fish. If you have the right color, you will catch more." 8-)
