BCS: Bull Crap System!
Post edited. "pregnant dog" is a system edit for a derogatory term describing women we don't care for very much. :

BCS: Bull Crap System!
I love the Bowl System for this very reason: Everyone gests to complain! 8-)

Chronarch 50mg or 100BSV
And any freshwater fish you might have an opportunity to catch. 8-)

LC Sammy 85 or 100?
You should have posted this in the smallmouth section where the guys that fish for little brown fish live! I would recommend 100, but I prefer the 128. 8-)

The Stock Thread
Last week's bear trap probably led many to believe the worst is over, when in fact it has just begun. The pain will be great, the burden heavy, and the suffering widespread. DJIA -680 at 8149 S&P -80 at 816 Oil $49.12 Issues yet to be resolved: Bankruptcy or nationalization of the automobile industry Widespread municipal default Continued consolidation and failures in the financial sector Collapse of the commercial real estate market Ongoing challenges in the airline industry The fundamental issue is home ownership or foreclosures. This problem continues to grow. Solutions are not easy and the amount of money involved is staggering. In the financial markets, derivatives represent an impending crisis of unknown magnitude. We do not know what is really out there, what it consists of, or what it's worth. This will not be resolved in short order. The repercussions of any forced liquidations are unimaginable, but would be devastating for all markets.

A hot fudge sundae to-go and they leave off the nuts and cherry!

Your Favorite Bronzeback Lure?
Lucky Craft Pointer 128 is my favorite, but definitely not my most productive. 8-)

Crappy weather
I really don't think weather, moon phase or barometric pressure has much to do with fishing on the Tennessee River...Current rules! The perfect day is steady or rising water and heavy release, four turbins churning, but no floodgates open. 8-)

Last smallie for this year
Wow! That's a fine finish! 8-)

Hello from NE Tennessee
Welcome aboard! I expect to hear a lot from you over the coming months. Winter smallmouth fishing is my passion, too. Be sure to checkout our smallmouth section, we have a few guys that put up some size and numbers. We're all looking for a new idea! 8-)

Hello Everyone
Welcome aboard! Check out our smallmouth section. We have a few guys that focus on the little brown fish, including several tournament fishermen and a few guides. Most of our members are artificial only, but I fish live minnows, too. I fish a couple of the big lakes in Arkansas, but the Tennessee River is my main water. Get involved, everyone's looking for a new idea! 8-)

If Missouri wins this Saturday, that will quiet the crowd!

Okay, this might help: Shimano Symetre 2500FI on sale for $49.99 (Cabela's) Shimano CH50MG on sale for $181.88 (Tackle Warehouse) St. Croix Legend Elite 40% off + free shipping at Reed's Family Outdoors And a Super Sale from one of our sponsors: http://www.deloscustomtackleshack.com/deals/after_thanksgiving_day_sale_pg2revise.html Whoo-hoo! 8-)

1lure to cover shad?
I think you might be better off with a lure which maximizes your casting distance: 5/8 oz XCalibur Xr50 would be my suggestion. White or silver would seem to be the logical choice, but I have much better luck with chrome blue, orange belly: http://www.excaliburlures.com/rattle.asp 8-)

St croix legend elite rods 40% off at reeds
Take another look... I have an ES70MF and EC70MHF. These rods are comparable in every way to G. Loomis IMX series or maybe even a little closer to GLX. Great prices for outstanding rods. 8-)
-
mossyback v GLX
True, but if you fish other high-end rods and $100 isn't that important to you, you will enjoy the slight difference. 8-)
-
Shimano 50mg
Heck, you already know what a fine piece of equipment the CH50MG is compared to any other reel. I have a Core which you will like, too. However, if I were considering a new reel, I would probably wait on whatever replaces the CH50MG. If you don't really "need" a reel, wait, but if you're just in the mood...buy a Core. p.s. For those considering their first CH50MG, jump on this deal! 8-)
-
Loomis GLX 844c - all around rod?
It wil do the job but I use the super sensitivity of the GLX for jigs and soft plastics like others have indicated Yep, but to address the question: If I only had one rod, the MBR844C is the one. 8-)
-
Chronarch 50mg or 100BSV
Agreed! 8-)
-
Can I use a 1/2 OZ jig on a Medium rod?
Sure, they are generally rated to 5/8 oz and even with a trailer, you will be fine. On the other hand, I bet you would find a heavier rod more suitable. 8-)

I missed this while I was out...Great one Muddy! ;D

Longhorns or Sooners
We'll see...A lot of "lesser" teams have surprised this year. Now, as for the "better team", nothin' to talk about, but football is played on the field, not on paper. Well, at least until it ends up in cyberspace! Missouri's defense just doesn't match up well...with any team fielding an offense. :
