  1. Yes. Not all posts are deleted, the majority are moved to a special administrative section for review and are sometimes reinstated. Most members, especially well liked seasoned members, sometimes post topics that stretch the limit of Forum guidelines or are in the "gray area". When those posts are deleted, they generally understand "why that might happen". Unless there is chronic abuse, having a post moved or deleted is no reflection on the member. We all have "senior moments". -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  2. Better news: Tomorrow the current contact is November which closed today @ $108.80 8-)
  3. No. Commodity prices, especially oil, are very volatile. In the last ten minutes the contract has dropped $10 to $120.
  4. Gotcha! I like a Guinness or Black & Tan occasionally and these drinks are much better "cool," not cold. 8-)
  5. The current futures contract (October) expires today. Prices have jumped $25.45 to $130.00 >
  6. I agree, except for the chilled glass part. Good beer shouldn't be served ice cold. Beer that is too cold numbs the taste buds and one does not get to enjoy it as much. I have heard and read this statement from a variety of sources and experimented with different temperatures myself. The flavor is enhanced, sometimes dramatically, at somewhat higher temperatures, but I prefer beer at something very close to thirty-two degrees! The overall enjoyment of an ice cold beer outweighs what is lost in taste. 8-)

  8. Here you go, this just popped up in our Flea Market: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1222100642/0#0 8-)
  9. I was up there a couple of weeks ago and had the same experience Bud describes: No pattern, anything works a little (three guys throwing everything including the kitchen sink!), all small fish. 8-)
  10. All beer is better poured in a chilled glass. Poured beer releases aroma which enhances the taste. The best of all worlds is a "same day" fresh keg. This is beer which has not be pasteurized. http://www.fosters.com.au/enjoy/beer/5_steps_to_the_perfect%20_beer.htm 8-)
  11. If it ain't perfect, it's not "good enough." 8-)
  12. You are a lucky man. What a day! 8-)
  13. No. Practice and learn this technique: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1128002349/22#22 BTW, Welcome aboard! 8-)
  14. The best time everyday is 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. To pick a specific "Best Time" it would be noon. 8-)
  15. Well, it sounds like you have made up your mind, but since you haven't bought the reel yet, I'll throw this into the mix: The STX has magnetic brakes which I don't like at all. I have heard these will be replaced with a centrifugal braking system on future models. I have had the STX since March and fished it extensively. I am currently having it serviced by Reel Mech, so perhaps I'll like it better, but I think there are much better options at your pricing point. Of all the reels I own, the STX is my least favorite.
  16. 5" GYCB Senko Watermelon with black flakes Gamakatsu 4/0 EWG Offset Work Hook T-rig weightless and weedless Some people found them earlier, but this was a "new bait" for me in 1997. After twelve years of fishing the Senko, I have never used a weight and only rigged it wacky a time or two. Others have great success fishing the Senko a number of different ways, it can't be fished "wrong". 19. Great thread! 5s are special, but your fish is a beauty. 8-)
  20. Most "record bass" are northern strain. The Florida strain just produces bigger bass! They have been introduced into a number of states and Mexico. The monsters from California are mostly Florida stain. 8-)
  21. Welcome aboard! We need more members fishing for the "right kind" of fish! Great pics, outstanding fish! 8-)
