  1. Just acquired an Aldebaran. I think I'm going to like it a lot! I will be pairing this with a Batson custom rod using the Rainshadow Immortal blank. We'll see how this works.
  2. The Z Man Project Z has superior components I also recommend the Rage Blade http://www.flwfishing.com/tips/2014-04-30-tackle-review-strike-king-tour-grade-rage-blade-, Siebert Outdoors Fogy http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/Fogy_c20.htm and Blurbasser86
  3. The only technique I fish where additional capacity comes into play is long lining crankbaits. I prefer a shallow spool on the 50 size Shimano reels.
  4. Try several colors. Generally I don't think color is very important, but sometimes the exact color is critical!
  5. 17 lb fluorocarbon, monofilament or copolymer will be hard to manage on spinning tackle. If you think you need that much strength, 20 lb braid would be a better choice.
  6. Tuf-Line Tournament 8 http://www.tuf-line.com/products_TUF-Lines_26.html

  8. 1. 10" Rage Tail Thumper (blue fleck) 2. Z-Man Project Z Chatterbait/ Rage Tail Cut-R trailer
  9. Rage Blade/ Rage Structure Bug trailer (white in white) Z-Man Project Z Chatterbait/ Rage Tail Cut-R trailer (Houdini/ green pumpkin w/ red flakes)
  10. As an alternative to the NRX893 consider a custom build. Mine is a Rainshadow Eternity blank, Toray reel seat, Alps titanium guides spooled with Tuf-Line Tournament 8 and Tatsu leader.
  11. "Fish chips" Gut them, then fry whole.
  12. Work with Mike (DVT) and build your own: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/142505-custom-rod-from-d-v-t/?hl=%2Bdvt+%2Brod+%2Bbuild+%2Bfor+%2Broadwarrior#entry1586835
  13. Make one great addition at a time and build your collection over the years.
  14. Soft plastics, especially rigged on a shakey head. Try the GYCB Kut Tail (green pumpkin/ red flakes) on a 3/8 oz MegaStrike ShakE2. I'm also having some luck with the Rage Tail 10" Thumper.
  15. Mine is matched with a Core 50Mg and #15 Tatsu. This is my dedicated small swimbait gear and might be my favorite rig!

  17. The Tennessee River impoundments are all about current. No current = no fishies.
  18. 5.0:1 for deep diving crankbaits and large lures 6.3:1 is the most versatile for an all-around reel 7.1:1 for buzzbait, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits and for some, pitiching jigs.
  19. A lot of guys have had bad experiences with this line.
  20. Stella/ G.Loomis PR844S Albedaran/ Rainshadow Eternity

  22. 10" Rage Tail Thumper, T-rigged. Rage Structure Bug, Jika rigged.
  23. Have not fished the Spro Rat in the wild, but yesterday I demonstrated the lure at the Bass Pro Shops Pyramid. It's KILLER!
