  1. Academy has them for $5.99 http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/gary-yamamoto-5-senko-soft-baits-10-pack?repChildCatid=106556
  2. Looks like you are correct: http://www.gloomis.com/content/g-loomis/us/en/home/conventional/rods/classic-bass/CLASSIC_MAG_BASS.html
  3. Never heard of Bullbuster, but lots of guys use mono for everything. I like Sunline Super Natural for treble hook lures, but for single hooks I think there are MUCH better alternatives. I prefer Yo-Zuri Hybrid, fluorocarbon or braid with a fluoro leader.
  4. G.Loomis GLX MBR842C/ Core 50Mg/Tatsu #15 is my rig and might be my overall favorite. This is the PERFECT set-up for small swimbaits and swim jigs.
  5. I suspect Senkos have accounted for more winning bags in local amature tournaments than all other liures combined. Why settle for "secong best"?
  6. I can't recall a lure that has not caught a fish, but I probably fish less than 10% of the tackle I own/ collect.
  7. Megabass PopMax, Tonosama Frog color/ pattern http://www.megabassusa.com/products/popmax
  8. Collecting gear is my hobby which I do not consider expensive. This is especially true today after years of building my assortments. Everything I buy is an add-on, a want, not a need. My newest project is adding a few custom rods over the next several years.
  9. Oil futures (Sept) traded at $42.10 today. Pump prices for regular unleaded in the Memphis area are $2.10 - $2.15.
  10. Geez... That what I call a "Walmart Girl".
  11. Oil traded at $42.80 yesterday. Our local prices here in Memphis are $1.99 - $2.15. http://www.memphisgasprices.com/
  12. Okay,,, On the otherhand ther is some GREAT gear to consider if you want to up your game. Most of "fishing" is fishing and has verylittle to do with "catching": Better gear is simply more fun to play with.
  13. Well... Pick your priing point and you will get some GREAT advice. There are great values out there and no one has a lock on what might be "the best" for you. As a collector of "technique specific" rods and reels, my preference is different than yours. For strictly "fishing" I think anything in the $150- $200 range is the very best "value". That said, some of us are "collectores" and the pricing point is much different.

  15. Try #12, you'll like it just fine.
  16. First of all, The Rig is not very effective this time of year. Best in spring and fall. I like mine light: outside arms Gamakatsu 3/0 EWG/ LFT Live Magic Shad/ no weight. Inside arm: Johnson Silver Minnow. Fish it anywhere you would fish a deep diving crankbait. My preference is running the trolling motor at about 1 1/2 mph and long-lining The Rig. Casting is challenging for Team Depends.
  17. Rage Tail Structure Bug rigged vertically (like a swimming fish). Rage Tail Cut-R rigged without a skirt.
  18. CONGRATULATIONS! :respect-040:
  19. 1. Fish the Chatterbait where you would fish a spinnerbait or crankbait. The action of a steady retrieve with an occasional pop wis enough, youdon't need to "work" the lure. 2. I like a Rage Tail Stuctue Bug rrigged vertically on any of the "Chatterbaits" or a Rage Tail specifically on a naked Rage Blade. 3. No.
