  1. Keep an eye on our Flea Market. Shimano Citica and Curado are VERY user friendly. A gently used Citica should run +/- $75; Curado D series $125-$140.
  2. Rage Craw
  3. Yep, that might be the case. Just makes it more interesting for both stated to claim the World Record. Touche!
  4. Check your tackle. I have a box of someone's deep divers. Let me know and I will send them to you. -Kent
  5. I like Miranda's twang and big hair. She is a Texan and looks Texan!
  6. Well, another observation is that they are either on or not. If it's on EVERY fish is a candidate. On the otherhand, sometimes you will find a school suspending and you can't buy a bite!
  7. Here's the deal or at least my thoughts: You need to mark several way points, humps, drops and holes, especially those that collect clam shells and debris (baitfish calls for IMMEDIATE attention!) Each spot may hold fish at one time or another, but not necessarily when you are there. So, fish a spot for 15 minutes or so and move to another, then another and then back to them all again. Last summer we (two boats and four fishermen) caught 45 bass in about an hour and a half, then they quit biting or moved away.
  8. WOW! I just noticed Catt's Toledo Bend thread is up to 228 pages! http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/41658-so-yall-want-to-learn-toledo-bend/page-228#entry1527156
  9. Yes, absolutely. Slack water is for lazy geen fish!
  10. Miranda Lambert is my favorite female artist. She has always portrayed herself as "your average girl". She REALLY likes beer and BBQ! This is a nice, short interview that touches me: http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2014/05/14/miranda-lambert-says-all-tabloid-reports-are-untrue/?intcmp=features
  11. Well, as a matter-of-fact, yes. Catt has DOCUMENTED accounts of every fishing trip he has ever been on dating back to the mid 1970's. He shares his experience with members on this forum without reservation. Not coincidently this wealth of knowledge matches almost perfectly with some of our other most seasoned veterns. To name a few: RoLo, WRB, Big O, Fish Chris and Dwight Hottle.
  12. My biggest fish, both green and brown, have been caught offshore in +/- 15' of water. As a more general reply, structure is key for smallmouth and cover combined with structure for largemouth. On rivers the current trumps everything else.
  13. I have never had anything blow up as a result of a power surge, but was wondering if the more advanced (?) electronics in new appliances made them more susceptible to damage. Sounds like no, so I will decline the extended warranty.
  14. I don't know if you are serious or just kidding, but if that is your real opinion I think it would represent a VERY small segment of the bass fishing community.
  15. Deep breath please... I think Catt's response was quite clear and your last response aggressive and uncalled for. The Toledo Bay thread is a "must read" for anyone interested in fishing deep structure, not just for that particular lake. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  16. I guess I really don't care that much about a Tennessee State Record green fish, it would not compare to the true giants in California. However, brown fish are an entirely different story. A new Tennessee State Record would also be The World Record. That fish is a keeper!
  17. Agreed! I have the AVC70MM matched with a CH 50Mg
  18. Probably not.. Reaction Innovations pushes that line of thought to the limit.
  19. Okay, a real question: I'm getting some new appliances. Lowe's offers extended warranty for about $100 per unit (washer, dryer, oven and microwave). The total cost represents about a 10% surcharge. The selling point is "electrical surge". Is this really an issue?
  20. Well, I love me some hats, but not a bucket hat. As my daughter might say, "Old and unhip".
  21. NOVA Timeline from beginning to end: History of the Universe
  22. I had some luck a few weeks ago at Grove which I posted on this thread a few pages back. Last weekend I caught a few on The Bug.
  23. "Fluffy" is what memories are made of, but injuries are another story. We have always been pretty lucky, especially the day Big O took our soldiers out in the Epic Storm at Pickwick.
  24. Another vote for KVD Line & Lure Conditioner.
