  1. Come to Pickwick with us, you will have a ball! -Kent
  2. http://www.westminsterkennelclub.org/ ;D ;D ;D
  3. Geez...You guys are no fun...Why buy all the other stuff if you aren't going to use it for its intended purpose? I understand that we "can" go all purpose, but that's not how I roll! :
  4. GYCB 6 1/2" Kut Tail. 8-)
  5. Here is a tip from Mike Iaconelli: Focus on areas with "similar characteristics" to what appear to be "ideal" spots. On every popular lake, the "best" spots get targeted by every fisherman with a clue! 8-)
  6. Give the Rage Tail Toad a try. It might become your new favorite. http://www.ragetail.com/ragetailtoad.html 8-)
  7. Fishing the Tennessee River, knowing that every cast has a legitimate chance of hooking-up with the next World Record Smallmouth! More specifically, perhaps having her on once...To the boat, but not in the boat. :
  8. I fished with him two days on the Roadtrip. The first with .ghoti, the second with Glenn and Keri. Troy Jens is the WORST guide I have every hired...EVER... >
  9. Read through George Welcome's website: http://www.imaginationbassin.com/
  10. Lamiglas SR705R is THE BOMB! http://www.tackletour.com/reviewlamiglas705.html 8-)
  11. Yes, this is a bass forum and in context, you are right, of course. However, some "other species" tournaments do allow live bait. The question at hand has nothing to do with this tangent. I use the G. Loomis worm binder for focus and convenience. The line-up is easily tweaked for any particular outing. I am able to carry a small assortment of ever lure class. It might work for you, too! 8-)
  12. Try a spool of Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft #6. I think you will like the line. For added performance, treat the line with KVD Line & Lure Conditioner when you spool your reel. 8-)
  13. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  14. Mike, What's the status on the cabins? The last I heard there were still a few open. Is this still the case? Also, those interested in hiring a guide for a day or two, you need to book soon. May is everyone's favorite month on Pickwick Lake! 8-)
  15. I have recently spooled a couple of reels with Inviz 100% Fluorocarbon. It is much softer than Yo-Zuri Hybrid. My concern is with the strength in smaller diameters. If it holds up after I have fished it awhile, I might be inclined to switch over. Regarding Yo-Zuri memory. When you initially spool your reel, treat the line with KVD Line & Lure Conditioner. Hybrid will lose most of the memory when you are fishing after just a few casts. 8-)
  16. Stepford wife...Perfect! ;D ;D ;D
  17. I can assure you, the worm binder will carry more lures/ baits than you will actually fish all year! More importantly, it will allow you to focus on what you really need. You will NEVER use all the lures you choose on ANY outing. 8-)
  18. The Lucky Craft Pointer defines "jerkbaits". They suspend perfectly and just as importantly, have a balancing system that make them the longest casting lure on the planet! Two lures you "must have" are the LC Pointer and Sammy. 8-)
  19. My system starts with a tackle room for everything. Then a 3600 BPS tackle bag for trips. Next, for the boat: http://www.gloomis.us/ProductInfo.aspx?id=5766986 This binder, combined with your pre-rigged rods, will carry everything you need for a day on the water! 8-)
  20. Kudos for sponsors are ALWAYS welcome! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  21. It appears I am wrong. Not the first time and probably not the last! -Kent :-[
  22. Welcome aboard! Hire a guide for a day, without the boys. You can learn a lot in a day, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. 8-)
  23. My wife's company held a management conference in New Orleans last week. One of the guys swears he saw someone sober last Thursday. Is that possible? 8-)
  24. I don't think so. This is why many professional reel specialist do not service Quantum reels. The other major issue is the availability of parts. With so many other options, why buy a reel from a company that abandons you once you buy their gear? :

Hey! Time to get over to the river. Neal Coleman, Speedy and I will be there next Saturday. The brown fish should be hungry. With the weather and high water we haven't been around to feed them since early December. I will send you a PM. -Kent
