  1. The IMX MBR844C is my suggestion. With a little patience you should be able to find one around $175. A comparable deal on a GLX is going to be $250 or so. Good luck! 8-)
  2. #6 Gamakatsu Octopus Circle Hook for live bait. The small hook in adequate and allows the minnow a little more freedom to swim around. 8-)

Well, the point I made before is that Taylor Swift introduces a lot of young people to country music, even though her music isn't really "country"! The same can be said for Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts and several others. However, they all have something going on to be the top selling artists, like it or not. 8-)
  9. Hmm... Maybe it's "Moderator Magic". I can see it, but you can't? Anyhow, AVATAR is the story of the Captain John Smith and Pocahontas. 8-)

  11. Fourbizz posted the story. I chose to ignore the politics and just enjoy the show. If you can't get over that, you should not go. 8-)
  12. The main difference are the recoil guides on the BCR854. The tip on the MBR844C seems a bit stiffer, but not significantly. Both rods are perfect for jigs and soft plastics. For me, the BCR854 is my dedicated jig rod. I have it matched with a Curado 200E7. The MBR844C is my dedicated rod for weighted soft plastics, especially bigger baits. Mine is currently saddled with a CTE200GT, but I also match it with an Abbadabbadoo SXT. Whichever you get, it will become your favorite rod! 8-)

  15. Re: Which ClassicPatterns videos do you like? Reply #5 - Jan 24th 2010 at 11:50:42 Hey Guys! Mike here. I was browsing around and happen to see this posted.. Glad you liked the video and found it informative. Never Give Up Ike
  16. Daiwa has always been at the top of the heap when it comes to spinning reels. Line management has always been superior to Shimano. Don't take this the wrong way, Shimano makes very good stuff, but Daiwa is ahead on spinning reel technology. Also, the Ci4 is not an aluminum frame reel. So most likely,it will not feel as smooth as a Sol,which is an aluminum frame reel. It's like a brass geared reel VS an aluminum geared one,the brass will always be smoother. Everyone has a favorite brand and they are certainly entitled to their opinion. However, the Shimano guys don't think Diawa is "on top of the heap". :
  17. For a BIG presentation, the Reaction Innovations Double Wide Beaver on a 3/4 oz football jig is hard to beat! However, for me, the new "big bait" trailer is the Rage Tail Lobster. Dy-no-mite! 8-)
  18. We have an extensive library. Browse through "Tacklebox" and "Fishing Articles" at the top of the page. Here are some other threads to get you started: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?virboard=Fishing_Tackle_ID;num=1253486034 To address your question specifically, you can buy crankbaits that will reach depths of at least 20'. Mann's 20+ is an example. Mann's Stretch series will dive deeper, but these are really designed for trolling. Casting and retrieving is too much work! 8-)
  19. Rage Hawg is another to consider: http://www.ragetail.com/news/10/the-rage-hawg-a-flipping-bait-with-more-action/ 8-)
  20. That's where I would go: http://imaginationbassin.com/ http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1264583198 http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1264583905 8-)
  21. Snow and ice remains as the temperatures plunged into the low teens overnight. The worst for fisherman is a repeat shad kill. Fishing is going to be challenging for the next several weeks even if it warms up.
  22. That's quite a collection and I know "collecting" is fun! Do you actually use them; fish them once and put them back on display; or take them with you on special outings (Brazil)? I would want to fish each rig for a day, catch some fish to know how it feels on each rig, then simply display the collection after that. Just curious how you handle "collectibles". 8-)
  23. Another tip that I got from Bobby: My first Cavitron was 3/8 oz black on black. Last spring my lure looked like it had been run over by a truck and bent back together. I asked Bobby if he thought I ought to dispose of the old and break out some new. The answer was "nope". When you have something that works, stick with it! As a buzzbait gets much better with age. Mine is just now getting "broken in"! 8-)
