  1. Zebco... Nothin' to talk bout' ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  2. Geez... My guess is, nice fish but not anything special. :
  3. How 'bout giving our sponsor, Delaware Valley Tackle a try: http://delawarevalleytackle.com/ ;D ;D ;D
  4. Hmm... I wonder how the coloration could effect performance? I have used all three colors without noticing anything other than how they blend with different water clarity and color. For clear water, I think green blends best. Stained water, purple smoke. White looks nice on silver reels! 8-)
  5. PLEASE keep politics out of the conversation and this thread will run as long as anyone cares. -Kent
  6. How are you going to land 24 lbs of smallmouth on 6 lb line? ;D ;D ;D ;D
  7. For all tackle: (1) Stored in Plano boxes or displayed on shelving in my fishing room. (2) Lures and baits that I "might" fish on an outing organized in my BPS tackle bag (40-50 lbs). This rarely leaves my SUV. (3) Everything that I actually "need" taken on the boat in a G. Loomis worm case. This includes all classes of lures, it's really neat! (4) The only stuff I actually fish tied on the night before. :
  8. My partner fishs a couple of Bronzeback rods, but I think they are too wippy. My suggestion is the SJR843S if you can find it on our Flea Market. MSRP may be more than you want to spend, but at $175-$200 it would be a great purchase! 8-)
  9. When the original Floating Rapala was first introduced in the early '60s, the lure was "rented" on an hourly basis on some lakes. Buying one or owning one when the Rapala first came out was virtually impossible. When my dad found out about them, the Rapala could not be bought. By '63 or 1964, the Rapalas were more readily available, but still just as effective as today's Senko. Try the Rapala floater today, it is PRIMO for little fish. I'm surprised tournament fishermen don't fish it exclusively during pre-spawn and spawn!

  11. No. Keep an eye on our Flea Market for great deals. There is no reason to waste money on something you don't really want regardless of the "value". 8-)
  12. Well now, hold on, I'm a HUGE Pickwick fan: http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/smallmouth_record.html It's Prime Time on the Tennessee River, but you really need a guide. Send me a PM if you want more information about my friend and smallmouth guide, Speedy Madewell. 8-)
  13. I bought the Champion 683C last year and matched it up with a CH50MG. The rod is light, well balanced, solid and sensitive. However, I'm not all jazzed about the split grip, it's not my style.
  14. Maybe, but Dale Hollow lays claim to both The World Record and the second biggest smallmouth every caught. 8-)
  15. I don't need the 1/0s.
  16. The only dinner you should try to make is on Wednesday. -Kent
  17. Where's Pickwick? ;D ;D ;D http://www.strikeking.com/journal/00055/4.php http://www.strikeking.com/journal/00055/5.php
  18. I'm a Slug-Go fan, too, but regardless of the brand, "flukes" are perhaps the most universal baits every invented. They imitate a shad, so use your imagination: Where, when and how would you fish a live shad? My most productive presentation is in shallow water, twitching the bait without trying to move it forward. I'm trying to imitate feeding baitfish. 8-)

I thought the best entertainment was the performance by Pink. Man, that was awesome! 8-)
