Favorite spinnerbailt trailer?? or do you use one??
I'm going to use this trailer in white. It was recommended by Glenn: http://www.***.com/descpageTRLZOOM-ZOSTTR.html More importantly, I am going with lumaflex skirts exclusively: http://store.jobabylures.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=J&Category_Code=SKL 8-)

Buying a first all-purpose baitcaster rod/reel.....opinions?
Well, he's not looking for a crankbait rod. An "all-around" rod would be 6 1/2' or 7' Medium Heavy Power/ Fast Action. The Abu Garcia Vendetta has been getting good reviews: http://www.tackletour.com/reviewicast09rodsabugarcia.html Match this up with a Shimano Citica and you are good to go for around $200. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewshimanocitica200e.html 8-)

Pitchinkid bought the rig and I suspect he will bring it with him to Pickwick. There are a lot of guys with custom rigs, but this one is probably the king daddy! 8-)

Need a good spinning reel
Everyone I know that has purchased the new Stradic 2500CI4 is impressed. My initial reaction is that the reel seems comparable to the Stella 2500FD at about 1/3 the cost! http://www.tackletour.com/reviewicast09shimanoreels.html 8-)

Reviews and help wanted... What is the best shallow crankbait rod & reel setup?
Here are three I fish: St. Croix AVC70MM/ Shimano Metanium St. Croix AVC66MF/ Shimano Scorpion G. Loomis PR844C/ Core 50MG7 The Curado CU200E7 is another suggestion and more versatile. You don't really need the E5 for shallow cranks. The CH50MG, Core 100 or 50MG and Curado will compliment most rods. 8-)

Braided line on a baitcaster
Geez... Roger is such an elitist. Maybe this is a better guideline: If the braid costs more then the rod, DO NOT spool it on your reel! :

Braided line on a baitcaster
The magnetic braking system is an issue for many of us. I have been fishing baitcasters for more than a few years. My STX has been a challenge. You might try to borrow someone's reel that has a centrifugal braking system. Spool it with inexpensive XT #17 and see what you think. 8-)

Your Personal Best LMB or SMB?
The bronzebacks in my avatar. Caught and released on the Tennessee River below Pickwick Dam in January, 2005. Bright, sunny day, rising barometer, water temperature 47*, big shinners on a split shot rig. The fat one was caught about 11:30, the longer fish about 1:00. The fat bass was just over 7 lbs and the hardest fighting freshwater fish I have ever caught. The other smallmouth is my PB, about 4" longer, but only a pound heavier. 8-)
