  1. Hardin County, TN is not a dry county, but you can only buy liquor by the drink at bars/ restaurants. There are no liquor stores close. For those flying into Memphis, you need to buy your booze there, in the metro area. Kirby Wines & Liquor is just off Hwy 385 on your way to Pickwick: http://www.kirbywines.com/ Beer is sold everywhere. The Lodge might require some subtlety, but I don't think it's a big deal. However, the Lodge does not serve beer or cocktails. There is an Exxon Station just outside the park. It's not right across the street, but it's only a couple of minutes away. 8-)
  2. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  3. I don't know, Long Mike is responsible for checking punk-u-ation and smelling. :
  4. Maybe a 7 1/2" Gene Larew Salty Ringworm, T-rigged and unpegged? 8-)
  5. It's probably the weight of the jig and speed of the fall. Try a 3/8 oz Evolution e2 jig, brown & black skirt with a green pumpkin Rage Tail Baby Craw. Killer! 8-)
  6. I have been doing well with a black jig and blue trailer. My other suggestion is the Sworming Hornet with a 3 1/2" LFT Live Magic Shad. 8-)
  7. I would play a little in Orlando and fish Stick Marsh/ Farm 13 with George Welcome: http://www.imaginationbassin.com/ 8-)
  8. Nice smallmouth, congratulations! 8-)
  9. That's so true...And I hope you find her! Good luck!
  10. Show me some 10's and the state or region makes the list of possibilities. Maine isn't in the hunt. Right now it's Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, the Carolinas and I'll concede to Fourbizz, California. 8-)
  11. Around here there is no limit on catfish except for size: You are only allowed to keep one over 36", I think. So, reproduction is extremely strong. I suggest stocking your pond with big catfish from other water and see if they repopulate the pond. Introducing little catfish is probably a waste of effort. 8-)

    Welcome aboard! 8-)
  13. Hmm... The Citica is a great reel, but if you want to upgrade, buy a Curado 200E7. 8-)
  14. I don't know...One feature of a C-rig is the unpegged nature of the weight. When the bait is picked up there is very little initial resistance which is one of the reasons this is such an effective technique. It seems to me that if you want a stationary weight, a split shot rig would fit the bill just fine. 8-)

  16. On the other-hand, everyone loves a winner! That's how Dallas became "America's Team". 8-)
  17. Ads have vanished, sponsors to follow? http://money.cnn.com/2009/12/09/news/companies/tiger_woods_commercials/index.htm
  18. The Senko. When I "discovered" the Senko in 1997, I became a catcherman. 8-)
  19. Let is touch bottom, then a steady retrieve just off the bottom. You will rarely hang-up and the strike is VERY aggressive. 8-)
  20. We'll see...Golf is a different animal. Other than John Daley, the "names" aren't thugs, drunks or drug users. Tiger Woods no longer fits into Nike's projected image, especially to the demographics of the typical golf fan. I suspect he loses most sponsors over the next few months. Note too, I have always BEEN a big fan, but never more. :-X
  21. I fished P-Line CXX for several years (4-5?) before "discovering" Yo-Zuri. I really liked the P-Line, but I like Hybrid and Hybrid Ultra Soft better. 8-)
  22. Nice fish! Around here, average stripers are 8-12 lbs, a few 20's and an occasional 30. My biggest is 38 lbs and 44 is the largest I have personally seen. The Tennessee State Record is 65 lbs - 6 oz: http://www.stripers247.com/tennesseerecordstriper.htm 8-)
