  1. Reef flip flops when warm Irish Setter boots in the winter
  2. I have the 7’1 MH/XF. No difference in last years models. I’ve used 12 lb flourocarbon on both setups. I still really like my Zillion rod though, it was my favorite until I got the h3.
  3. I just started using the 50 lb and I’m really liking it so far.
  4. I have the zillion 7 foot M XF that I use for light Texas rigs. It’s a nice rod but I don’t see much difference in that and my lower priced Tatula rod. I also recommend the Kistler Helium 3. Lighter and more sensitive than my Zillion.
  5. It depends. Like others have said sometimes it will trigger a strike. I caught a 5 pounder last summer on a buzzbait the instant it hit the water and before I could start the retrieve.
  6. Location is the most important thing. Find bodies of water that are known to have big bass. No lure in the world will catch what's not there.
  7. I bought a bottle to try a while back, I couldn't see any difference even after soaking the line the night before, on copoly and fluorocarbon. Maybe it's because I use fairly limp, good handling lines? I doubt I'll ever buy it again.
  8. Yes, just a blank screen that you can mark waypoints. The units in your price range don't have the ability to download or add map cards.
  9. For 399 you can get a Lowrance hook 2 7x tripleshot. That's going to be your best bang for the buck. It's also the only one with sidescan for under 400. Has GPS but no maps, but no 7 inch unit under 400 does. You can always download Navionics on your phone if you need maps.
  10. If you can add $50 to your budget I would recommend the Garmin Striker 7cv, on sale on Dicks website for $349. I’ve had this unit for a year and a half on my pond Prowler and like it.I also wouldn’t recommend going under a 7 inch screen.
  11. I like the color of the Scorpion better, but the Curado is a little cheaper .
  12. I get my War Eagles from Walmart
  13. I totally agree. Once in a blue moon I’ll bring my one spinning rod and maybe make 5 or 6 casts with it. It just doesn’t feel right to me.
  14. I bought mine for Squarebills and lipless cranks. Just got it 2 weeks ago and haven't been able to fish with it yet due to the weather, only casting it in the yard. Not sure why Daiwa says they're for Finesse, it has the same size spool as the CT.
  15. Ive had a Chronarch CI4 since they first came out and I bought a new Chronarch MGL a few weeks ago. I really like it, but it is harder to dial in than my Tatulas. I would also recommend a Diawa as a first baitcaster. It is pretty much set it up and leave it alone, unlike the Shimanos where you have to readjust for different lure weights.
  16. I would go with the new Tatula 100. On sale at Sportsman's outfitters for $99
  17. Click on details to the right of the price in yen, then when the next page comes up the USD will show under the Yen amount .
  18. You can buy a JDM Metanium for 295 from Digitaka

  20. I fished a 1/4 ounce jig with my new MH H3 Saturday and had no problems. If you’re going to throw 1/2 ounce you definitely don’t want the LMH. If you still can’t decide, call Trey Kistler and he will give you a recommendation. I use 12 lb P-line tactical for 1/4 ounce jigs and light t-rigs.
