  1. I have a couple of small farm ponds that I’ll fish several times a year. It’s nice if I want to make a few casts after work and don’t feel like loading the boat up.
  2. I have several Zillions that came from Japan through Amazon. No problems at all
  3. Worst thing I fell for was braid is a good multipurpose line, I hate it and only use it for throwing frogs.
  4. Zillion HD has MagZ spool, not SV. Has brass gears instead of aluminum, longer handle and black paint.
  5. SPRO Little John 50 is killer in cold water.
  6. I catch at least 80 percent or more on Jigs Texas rigs Crankbaits
  7. I’ve always upgraded my electronics before they went bad, except for a little 4 inch humminbird unit I had on a Jon boat years ago, that one died at just 13 months old.
  8. I have no experience with those 2 rods, but I do have the Steez 7’2 H Power Pitch. I use it for pitching 1/4 to 1/2 oz jigs. It is my favorite rod, light and sensitive. It’ll handle t-rigs down to 1/4 ounce as well.
  9. JDM 22 Zillion HD. 20 lbs of drag is unnecessary for bass fishing
  10. I have the Orochi XX Perfect Pitch. I wouldn’t call it a multi purpose rod. It’s pretty much for pitching or throwing a frog. I have no experience with the Expride but I’m sure it’s a lot lighter. The Perfect Pitch is heavy, it weighs 6.2 ounces on my scale.
  11. Tom might have a different reason, but I prefer FC for its slack line sensitivity. I’ve detected strikes that I know I wouldn’t have felt if I were using braid.
  12. I have the 7’3. It is all graphite. You won’t be disappointed. I love this rod and sensitivity is close to my Steez
  13. Rage Craw for full size jigs Missile Mini D chunk for smaller jigs
  14. I use a fast action and very seldom lose any fish.
  15. Cabela’s /BPS rod selection is very poor, plus they are more expensive than other places. They do sell nice clothes though
  16. I’ve got a Tatula Elite 7’ M/MH and a Steez 7’2 H with AGS guides. No problems with the guides
  17. The Alphas SV 800 is a really nice reel, but it’s not a BFS reel with the factory spool. 1/4 ounce lure weight is about the bottom end.
  18. My favorite mono as well, but sadly it’s been discontinued
  19. I have the Grunt and it’s a good spinnerbait rod.
  20. Will Tracker sell a Classic XL without an OB? I’d buy an extra wide Jon Boat with a livewell, put a 80lb 24 v trolling motor on the bow, a 55lb on the transom. That’s the way I had my 1448 set up for electric lakes before I bought my Tracker PT175.
  21. 15lb SmackDown has the same diameter as 6lb mono. 40 lb has the same as 12 lb mono.
  22. The 15 lb Smackdown braid is fine for the spinning reel, but it’s way too small for the casting reel. You want at least 40 lb for that.
