  1. I just leave all my cork rods the way they come. After a couple of years you may loose a little filler material, but I'm not a fan of the way the feel after sealing them.
  2. I've used both in #15, prefer CXX. Found it handled just a little bit better, but I wouldn't complain if I was using the Yo-Zuri. I use it for Chatterbaits/Spinnerbaits, Top Water and #12 for jigs in the winter.
  3. Second the VMC Neko
  4. Just picked up two Veritas Tournaments for the price of one. Thanks
  5. I'm just going to say be careful with any drive hanging off the bottom of a kayak there. I haven't been there in a couple of years, but I've always done well there.
  6. 3.25" Yum Wooly Bug or a Zoom Chunk JR
  7. I like the Mustad Fastach, and like galyonj said ditch the swivel. I will say that the smaller Whopper Ploppers (75 & 90) are very speed dependent to fast and they spin.
  8. If you wsnt durable and still catch fish, I've had good luck with Reaction Innovations Skinny Dipper
  9. In my kayak I have 9 rod holders on my crate. Most I've taken is 6 but most of the time its 4. Crankbait Frog Chatterbait Topwater Jig Swimbait Sometimes a spinning rod for senkos/dropshot I can combine a couple techniques on one rod like topwater/chatterbait, and frog/jig. If I'm fishing a lake I'll bring more rods if its a river less because of the overhanging trees, current and crappy launch spots
  10. Spinning gear, braid to flourobsometimes light lb mono leader. Casting straight copoly or flouro, only thing I usually run braid on is my frog rod. However from fall through spring I'll run braid to a wire leader when the pike are up shallower and I'm either specifically targeting them or I start losing tackle to them.
  11. Tatula 150 it's pretty much perfect for chatterbaits and if you already can skip with no problems it's not going to present any problems.
  12. Reaction Innovations, all across the board but especially the Man Bear Pig it has that little extra wedge at the top so the hooks doesn't pull through. Also Strike King is fairly durable and still gets bit.
  13. Alcohol burner and a razor blade is what i use
  14. If you're not in a hurry and can wait for a sale the dobyns champion 734 or 744 can both be had for under $200
  15. I just picked up the new Tatula XT 7'1" ml xf. Fished it a few times its really nice for $100. Like it better then my Mojo 6' 10" dropshot rod.
  16. Just picked up 75, that spins on the retrieve. Nothing bound up, only way to stop it is to reel painfully slow. Never had that problem with the 110 or 130
  17. Last gen Bass X 6'6" MH, $80 from St. Croix. I use it for buzbaits and ploppers.
  18. 10lb Big Game or 12lb Yo-Zuri Hybrid

  20. Looks like the new BB1 Pro has the paddle grip, vs the old BB1 Pro having the round EVA knobs
  21. I feel your pain. I live on the border of RI/MA in the Northeast corner of RI. I was planning on buying a new boat this spring but it’s not even worth it now that we can’t launch anywhere outside of the state.
  22. Last couple of years 3.5” Swim Senko in Goby has been killer for me usually on a 1/8 to 3/16 jig head.
  23. I’m new on here. From RI but half a mile from the Plainville/North Attleboro line. Just in case anyone is wondering almost everything South of Providence is iced out. Hoping that next weeks weather gets rid of the rest, been waiting to take the kayak out.
