  1. I pay between 60$ and 100 for used citica/curado 100d and 100b ...its all in what u want to pay..
  2. Im loving the curado and citica 100 sizes ...i had some 200 sized modern curado ..maybe im wrong but the Japan made reels seem to be made better then the Malaysian reels..i sold all of them i had .even the thumb bars seem better as does the loud clutch engage...amoung other things
  3. It was marketplace but It had a bass pro handle but they didnt put that shim on the crankshaft. So it would wobble when they cranked and wore out the bottom were the bushing fits.
  4. Thks man i done did it all ...everyplace even shimano service centers the bay is dead as well they got plenty of other parts though..i bought a citica 100dsv cheap ..dude had wrong handle on it and used it enough to wear out the shaft at bottom with the bushing...the rest of the reel in great shape though...
  5. Hit the handle hard when u start ur retrieve a few times ive had a few other brand do that and it stopped the clicking
  6. Anyone have shimano part bnt. 3554 TIA

  8. Thks reason i was wondering cause all my others ones didnt have this even the curado 100s i was thinking hmmm what else could i be missing Ya now u mention it i looked at my 200s and nope a slightly diff design..man i love this little shimanos though this last 100 i won on ebay for 40$ like new no box but they fit my hands soo well..have a great eve
  9. Hows a spring clip a spacer? it has 2 plastic spacers already outside the bearing all it does is stop the spool from falling out i assumed ..spool moves in and out and has bearings for 360 non movement other then rotation
  10. Thks im taking it out easier to service that way have a great weekend
  11. I bought a shimano 100dsv citica again this one has a clip at the end of the spool shaft..does this serve a purpose other then holding the spool in when open it ?? TIA

  13. 2 combos 1 light action spinning rod with 2 spools mono and braid..6ft and a 6 6 baitcast rod med with 2 spools braid and mono 2 combos 1 light action spinning rod with 2 spools mono and braid..6ft and a 6 6 baitcast rod med with 2 spools braid and mono ...i did a rod count the other day i have over 80 rods from ultra light 4 ft rods to 12 ft surf rods and hardly ever use more then 4 at a time lol
  14. This right here explains it perfect...
  15. I love the shimanos even though im diehard abu...whats the size diff in a curado100 and a 50e.... curado fits short straight handle rods really good and ive seen the 50e 180 and up used...and ive been buying curado 100d from 60 to 100 depending on condition...is the 50 that small... And BETTER then a 100d
  16. I think it boils down to..if someone sees me using a tiny baitcaster..abu 1500c or a morrum 1600 .... they magically assume its BFS i was asked a couple times when i fish public ...nope just a med action 6ft rod with 10 lb line used them for 20 some yrs ... Don Ivonio back in the late 80s early 90s had rods made for "stitchin" made by berkley small lines on small baitcasters at the time it was 2500c and small morrums..6 lb and 8 lb line ..the rods were made so u could hold the forgrip and slowly pull the line with fingers after the cast and crank really slow..guess it lasted a couple yrs ..cool technically
  17. Yup ..made in china sticker on reel feet..engineered in sweden...all i know is Ebay gonna get busy next pay day..lol
  18. My 1500c and morrum 1600s cast light baits as well its all about the rod anyhow ..i find it fun to catch fish regardless but big fish(relative term) big baits ..i catch more big bluegill with 1/4 oz jigs then 1/32 and can cover more water ..im aware small lures can catch record size fish of any species.just imo consistency is more important....do i want to catch 50 ...5 oz bluegill or 10 2 lb bluegill..i dont need bfs to do either one..lol
  19. Ive bought plenty of 4600c3 up until last yr now they are not produced in sweden only the 6k and 5k size round reels are made in sweden ..i already know the 4500s havent been made in a while some countrys had special runs in the 90s.. Oops morrums are still made in sweden...
  20. BFS Is just a fad IMO.....nothing will ever cast a 1/32 jig better then a ultra light whippy rod with 2 lb ine then a tiny spinning reel....and BIG bluegill along with big bass will absolutely smash a j 11 rapala or 1/4 oz spinnerbait with a med action baitcaster and 10 lb line...BFS is a selling point IMO
  21. Niceee i love that short straight handle ..thks for this epic eyecandy now to find and see how deep my pockets can get lol
  22. Old school here...4600c3 and curado 100d....if i was down to 2 rods and reels 4600c3 for big topwaters and spinnerbaits curado for manns jelly worms c rigged and a plain jig both on 6 ft 6 rods ...im good keeping it simple for over 45 yrs now ..
  23. Love them man them frames they stopped making i do believe
