  1. Exactly my pb was 10-4 the yr after that it was 9-4 both caught in farm ponds, with so many sticks and logs, stumps no way i woulda thrown any hardbait in this its all about plastics .in this kind of perspective a 300$ bait is worthless but a 75cent plastic worm or lizard brings home the bacon,i fish water that cant be fished with hardbaits 98% of the time and if i fished tourneys thats pretty much all i could make money on,big bodys of water aint my virtue bbut then again i can fish the potomac without any probs finding or catching
  2. If you been using them for 2 yrs doin what u said and no fish..no offense but are u sure there are fish in the water
  3. Not to me i been catching fish all my life with the same stuff no need to change, never ever have i been fishing and thought to myself "i shoulda bought that 20$ lure" my mindset is having fun and catching fish.if im wondering about expensive lures then i must be missing the whole point about life in general not just fishing
  4. I aint no rod wrap expert but a crack lets moisture get in send it back the more it flexes the more it opens
  5. Gonna change them again there will be at least 14 diff curados and citicas the next 20 yrs
  6. I just fish my fav combo ....a 5'6" pistol grip uglystiik and a 4600c3
  7. Invisi lure fish may have a hard time seein it also
  8. I notice a few ppl that down mono have post from yrs ago having trouble with floro or braid, when its all said and done you wont see me talking bad about mono or copoly.just a thought
  9. Get a med action 7' rod it can do a lot of everday things aside from flippin picthin and punchin,it can do med cranks,t rigged lizards, spinnerbaits, and small swimbaits put some 12lb yozuri on it your good to go
  10. Mono can do it all ,knot strength, abrasion resistance, user freindly, its never let me down.
  11. 5'6" pistol grips m and mh action fast tips.short range and mid range i can walk a spook around a stump. IMO a long rod with a long handle Impairs the action of a spook.
  12. Looks dont matter but i like line with color i dont care for clear line.i have 30 spools of line mostly green yo zuri ,solar collector And green big game and some red triple fish.
  13. 10 lb on a spinning reel is a bit much unless its a 4000 size IMO
  14. All i know is before your line stretches the hook has to penetrate then your rod will bend then when all this is maxed out your line will stretch.Another thing i have noticed when u have sharp hooks 9 out of 10 times the fish is hooked already,,im not worried about thiseish that i didnt feel 75 yrds in 20 fow im concentrated on hooking up with a reliable line knot and abrasion wise, because in reality its the fish we catch that make the diff ,i could care less about the 30 i didnt feel outta site outta mind,im more excited about miss 8 pounder that i feel see and catch .there ya have it
  15. I cast a fluke jr with a 5'6" old school lightning rod and a tech spec casting reel with 8lb yo zuri with no probs.reel is stock
  16. No offense but how do you "adjust your hookset" wouldnt that be a oxy moron a hookset is a hookset no adjusting all mine have been the same since i was 5 i feel or see a fish i snap it guess thats why i like stretchy line ,dont have to worry about adjusting anything ,my knots safe my line is safe and my hook made a homerun into that mouth
  17. Sharp hooks make stretch the least of my worrys.many other things come to mind, abrasion resistance big game is perfect ,knot strenght big game is perfect,i use big game for saltwater never had a problem what people dont realize is stretch is a good thing compared too things that can actually make you loose fish.besides you can get 1200yrds of 12 for 6$ .let The stretch control other ppl and move along
  18. Line stretch makes a diff a long ways out deep water but for bass and shallow water fishing it has no effect on my success.if your using sharp hooks i dot care if u got a rubberband your getting hooked
  19. Just be done with all of the marketing and fan favs ...braid frays flouro kinks ..just get some yo zuri or big game.then u wont have to worry about your line .just catching fish thats my story im sticking to it.used mono most of my life and.never once thought about stretch, abrasion, kinks, and knot failure. The old saying holds true if you have second thoughts about anything most likely your right
  20. Get a 30 size trion and berkley cherrywood in 6' some 6lb yozuri 70$ some beetlespins, mepps size 1, floating jointed rapala, zoom trick worms, curly tail grubs white, chartruese, black, all this will be about 100$ and your set to catch fish anywhere on earth
  21. Superfluke in babybass,,bass are cannibals and small bass love fry and big bass love small bass
  22. What size mono??? ur using a puppy 6lb line is about as far up as u can go,,fluro will sink it also btw you dont pop a spook subtle movement on top rod tip at the 1 oclock position and barely move it
  23. Points, dropoffs and laydowns anything that causes the water to change direction, speed and color.fishing the tides is like fishing a small mountain stream look for anything in the water that can change the flow of water thats where fish stage at. The only diff in tidal fishing and stream fishing is stream fishing its goin one way 99% of the time.tidal its moving all diff ways 6 hrs at a time and still for a hr depending where u are
  24. Spooks and jitterbugs
