  8. I dont by special purpose rods at all its about length power and action for me.Ive held big name rods with specific (lures) on them .All i can say is who the hell buys this stuff .If you need to buy a rod with names, lures, techniques on it your special.i bet you even put your name on your underwear and mark your feet L and R and your shoes are marked.L and R also.nothing against anyone im here to help
  9. Get a abu i have 60+ and still getting them all work perfect some look dead but keep on trucking.they can be found anywhere and parts HAAAA .their are at least 10 diff websites dedicated to these reels.they have a cult following.nothing wrong with calcuttas and cardiffs.if i could find them as cheap and as easy to tweak as my abus id have 60 of them. But thats not the case.abu Garcia... for life
  10. Used mono for 20yrs with nay problem setting hooks with a med.action spinning rod and 8 lb mono, and all i did back then was t rigged jelly worms heavy cover and all ...its all about the sharpness and the wrist movement..its not the bow its the indian lol
  11. This is my opinion on this,in my experiance the reason hardbaits do so well is because bass dont really chase them its all a matter of putting that bait whichever way they face it and perfect timing .in other words they rely on ambush .a plastic worm is stealthy and doesnt do much way to quiet and doesnt displace no where near as much water as hardbaits.reason i say this many times.i have seen bass just turn too a hardbait cause it was perfect place and timing passing thru.COLD water of course.to me thats below 50
  12. You can use it on the rod, guides and handle also
