Agreed, Amazon is the standard online for sure. TW does a pretty good job in my opinion, the wish list deal maybe should have been advertised on their site?
  2. From my browser, the wish list is gone....anyone else experience this?
  3. I do and catch fish on them. Best method for me is weightless. I caught a 4.5 pounder on a rainbow trout colored one in summer of 2018.
  4. 1. spend time fishing lakes with known big bass populations 2. use my fishing kayak on evenings after work 3. update my 12 foot smokercraft to accommodate bass fishing 4. have fun
  5. I have a Lews Tournament MB as well and it’s a very good reel. And I like the Fuego. I might try the Tatula, but would like to get 2 for a $100ish.
  6. I am going to purchase 2 new baitcasters. I have the BassPro flyer for the Spring Classic and it has the PQ2 for 50% off. How would this reel be vs the Fuego CT? I have 2 CTs now and really like them. Who makes the PQ2?
  7. Siebert, Dirty Jigs, 6th Sense
  8. Mann's Original Deep Pig in brown or chartreuse crawfish 6th Sense Curve 55 in perch Norman Deep Little N in rainbow trout
  9. 10 lb Power Pro is what I use on my spinning reels.
  10. When I do my shopping, I am typically looking at rods/reels in the $150 each range. To me, that is the sweet spot (performance to price). Once I have identified which rod and reel I want, I look and wait for sales. I have never paid full price. This year I purchased a Dobyns Sierra and Lews Tournament MB, I paid around $200 total for the combo, about 30% off the original pricing. That's how I do it.
  11. I use rod socks, reel covers, and rod wraps to keep it all together. I put the butts inside my truck on the passenger side floor and the tips extend into the back (quad cab truck).
  12. I have several of the Bantam Magnumlites, 150 and 200 sizes with fighting drag. All still going strong. They do not cast as far as my more modern reels.
  13. ned rig and drop shot
  14. I have 3 BPS Johnny Morris Carbonlite 2.0. Very good rods for the money. I paid $79.99 each on BF.

  17. Thanks so much gentlemen! I looked for the video on KastKing website, could not find it. Also the pic from Amazon, I must have missed that. Great rod. It launches 1/2 lures a mile with Daiwa Fuego CT.
  18. So a 1/2 inch gap between where the butt attaches to the tip is OK?
  19. NYWayfarer, I just received my Perigee 2 casting 2 piece rod with M/MH tips. When I connect either tip, the butt end does not does not go all the way into the tip. There is about a 1/2 inch gap. Do I have to push harder to join them? I am worried they won't come apart if I force it.
  20. These are similar but are fluke style: https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Longas_Baits_Inox_Tail_Soft_Jerkbait/descpage-LBINOX.html
  21. I also have the Kastking in the same power above. Couldn’t be happier with it.
  22. I use 2 of these, never had an issue: https://www.amazon.com/Plano-Pocket-Stowaway-Compartment-Utility/dp/B000EYU8T0/ref=sr_1_6?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1547060959&sr=1-6&keywords=small%2Bplano&th=1
  23. I have been using OneNote to track my rods, reels, line size, lure size, usage etc. It works great.
  24. I have read a bunch of information about frogging. It is my understanding, a heavy rod and reel with a good/heavy drag and 50lb braid are key components. I have read conflicting info about the reel speed either fast 8:1 or slow 5:1, some say fast to pick up line, others say slow to get torque. I have a 7'6" Heavy/Fast rod and either a 8:1 reel or 5:1 reel (the 8:1 is a Johnny Morris Carbonlite 2.0 and 5:1 is a Shimano Bantam Magnumlite 1500 with fighting drag). My questions are these: first how easy is it to cast a hollow body frog with heavy rod and braid? Secondly, what reel speed is recommended? I have both. The Shimano drag can be locked down to not move at all.
