Swim jigs
Must use a trailer on a swimjig, it gives the lure secondary action. The skirt and trailer make up the total action. Keitech Fat Impact are my favorite trailer. I use craw a baitfish colors. I knocked em dead last year on a Dirty Jigs swimjig with Ghost Trout Keitech trailer.

Copolymer vs. fluorocarbon for crankbaits
Cygnus X-1 is like 15 times the mass of the sun, Sag-A is 2.6 million times the mass of the sun... Cygnus X-1 is an excellent Rush song...

Copolymer vs. fluorocarbon for crankbaits
Once you start heading down that hole, you can't get back out, think Sagittarius A Star (super massive black hole).

Copolymer vs. fluorocarbon for crankbaits
Yozuri Hybrid is what I use, except for jerkbaits, I use Invisx. For big swimbaits, I use Big Game.

Inexpensive frog rod
I would spend a little more and get the Tatula XT 7'6" H or 8' H for $89.99 at Sportsmansoutfitters.

Daiwa TATULA 6'10" MH/F Thoughts?
I have 3 Carbon-Lite 2.0 rods, one is the 7' MF. They are very good rods, but the Tatulas are significantly better IMO. I paid $79 each for my Carbon-Lites and $99 each on many of my Tatulas.

Daiwa TATULA 6'10" MH/F Thoughts?
There are 2 listed at 7'1" MHF, but I am sure that is a mistake, the one I have is 7'1" MHxF model TTU711MHXB

Daiwa TATULA 6'10" MH/F Thoughts?
Yeah, the website shows 2 that are 7'1" MHF. If you buy from SportsmansOutfitters, they have the MHxF rod in stock.

Daiwa TATULA 6'10" MH/F Thoughts?
7'1" MHxF I was speaking about was a Tatula. They also make a 7'1" MHF, which I do not have. The 7'1" HF is a Tatula that I was also talking about above.

Daiwa TATULA 6'10" MH/F Thoughts?
For frogs, jigs, I would get the Heavy. I throw the smallest S-waver on it fine. For the 6’10” MH I use 10-12 lb flouro. For the 7’1” H, I use 12-14 lb flouro.

Buff Recommendations
Those look nice, to keep my glasses from fogging, I use dawn dishwashing soap to wash my glasses. It keeps fog to a minimum.

Daiwa TATULA 6'10" MH/F Thoughts?
It's going to be heavier than a MF rod for sure. I also have the 7'1" MHxF Tatula, it is rated the same as the 6'10" but has a real fast taper. Nice tip on that rod. It throws 1/4 fine too. I use it mostly for light texas rigs, small jigs, and flukes at times.

Buff Recommendations
Kastking has been pretty good to me. Huk makes a good one, Aftco etc. At Aftco, you buy 1, they make 1 for the medical field. AFTCO

Daiwa TATULA 6'10" MH/F Thoughts?
My favorite rod in the Tatula line is the 6'10" MHF or the 7'1" HF. I would say the 6'10" is close to its rating. I throw 1/4 ounce baits no problem. I have that rod paired with a Tatula SV TW for skipping docks.

KVD Line & Lure Conditioner
The stuff just works. I spray it on after I spool fresh line. It works best on flouro and I apply it before every trip. I want to buy a gallon, but they don't give the stuff away.

Tatula Vs Curado - Rods
Tatula for sure. They can be had for around $100 if you look around. Best bang for the buck rod IMO. I own 12 Tatula or Tatula XT rods. All of my bottom contact, specialty technique, multi-purpose rods are Tatulas, treble hook lures I use XT.

I need a list of rod types for each situation.
3 mid-range set-ups should cover almost any situation: MHF casting MF casting MF spinning And add this for heavier applications: HF casting

Tatula 100 vs. SLX as a "workhorse" reel
For the money, the Fuego CT is hard to beat. I have 5 of them. They cast a mile, smooth as butter, good drag, take abuse and keep working. If I had to choose between the Tatula 100 and Shimano SLX, I would not hesitate on the Tatula. I have 2 100s and 3 SLXs, the 100 is a better reel IMO. I also own a Tatula 150 and 200. I like the 100s better. I use the larger reels for deep cranking and frogging.

What Y'all Doing
Will do. I installed a 5 inch Humminbird, YakAttack accessories, and a few other odds and ends. My landing gear arrives on Friday, I might get that done this weekend too. I really love the 106 PDL.
