  1. Get yourself one of these... Plastic Welding Kit Then after you drill holes to drain and let it dry out, seal the holes again with the welder...color won't match, but it'll be whole again.
  2. If I'm going out in the morning, I'll tie on lures the night before...but plastics stay off until I'm ready to cast.
  3. I just put most of my terminal tackle in slide-top metal boxes, label them, then into a 3701. They're not air/water tight, so moisture is still wicked away by the silica gel-packs.
  4. Nora's been on a C-Pap for close to 15 years...we both sleep better since she got one.
  5. Another word for 'knick-knacks'...cute little decorative items that are basically there for atmosphere...no real use.
  6. Only if the batteries your using in that bank are rated for starting. Trying to start (or jump-start) a motor with a battery designed for deep-cycle use only is a good way to destroy the battery.
  7. Thanksgiving isn't a profitable holiday - Halloween you sell buckets of candy, Christmas you sell acres of toys and tchotchkes - what's the draw to stores for Thanksgiving? It's the stores and marketing that drive things now - real reasons for holidays have been lost.
  8. Fantastic news Paul, and thanks to the person who made this happen.
  9. One of the things I miss about my old WT-1500 - 5-speed on a 4.3L Vortec V-6
  10. This! I did the same thing when I upgraded from a Lowrance Hook 2-4 to a Striker 7cv. Learn the unit before you get on the water.
  11. Ummm - Tom Per your own recommendations to keep spinning line to .010" or less - 10# Tatsu (and InvizX) is .010" diameter. Yes, 6# or even 8# would cast better - but 10# is within 'tolerance'.
  12. Been there - done that....on a 40hp...not fun.
  13. Hmm - good to know, Glenn But yes, checked...the e-mail I have for the forum is the same one. Actually - anything fishing related (forums, YT, online purchasing, etc) all is under this one e-mail addy...reason I set it up. I have 3 main e-mails - Personal, Fishing, Modeling...and never the twain shall meet.
  14. Sounds like a nice rig Though personally I think the rod is a little under-powered for hardbaits. I'm running an Okuma Celilo rod - 1/32-3/8 lures vs the 1/32-3/16 of the BPS...also the longer length of the Celilo - 7'6" - lets me whip the 1/10oz Creme lipless and 1/16oz Road Runners out quite a ways.
  15. It's called 'click-bait', Russ.
  16. I think I'm still good - get regular e-mails from 'Mark', including one just last week.
  17. Exactly - my best friend for 40+ years is a very devout Christian, he was best-man at my wedding and I'm honorary uncle to his two boys (who are now fathers themselves). I'm a Secular Humanist - no belief in 'higher power' - but we're still best of friends despite our differences in 'faith'.
  18. We started at -3....currently at +7
  19. Ya - I've already sent one e-mail wondering if I can take my own rigs and tackle instead of using theirs. Once conversation has started, I'll ask about filming my trip. June 13 - shouldn't be too bad out...even if it's raining cause one of the purchases this year was a Frog Toggs set (I can't afford Simms, Hukk or even Blackfish).
  20. Well, 32years of marriage this past June....ya, I think I'll keep her for a few more years yet.
  21. BPS/Cabelas M-24, AM-24 and AM-33 are just re-branded Onyx models.
  22. Congrats, Scott. Thanks for putting this on, Paul...nice to see it go to a good cause.
  23. One of my gifts to her this Yule-tide wasn't quite the expense - but it did bring happy tears...she loves it. An insulated travel mug - personalized (names in image replace by ours)
  24. From what I can find out, the NRS uses the 'dissolving bobbin' style trigger...if it gets wet, it triggers. You hear alot about inflatables going off in heavy rain - that's the bobbin style. The HIT models use a pressure sensor...once the pressure change exceeds a certain level, the inflatable is triggered...this is around 4" beneath the water surface. Won't go off in the rain or if splashed...air pressure change would have to be severe (major front or worse) to trigger it.
  25. Probably the best pic of you ever taken.
