  1. Mulled wine...
  2. I dunno where she got it - but the wife got me one that's like a My Pillow...but it has a zipper on one end so it's easy to take out/put in the memory-foam pieces. I put in all the extra they sent with...I think I gotta order some more filling though...still a little soft for me.
  3. I woke up to 24 this morning
  4. Some of us hibernate. ? Hunker down Fondle our rigs Inventory our tackle - multiple times Re-org the tackle (see above)
  5. Mighty Max - direct from their site or from Amazon 100ah LiFePo4 for $420 - weighs just under 30lbs. https://www.mightymaxbattery.com/shop/lifepo4/12v-100ah-lithium-replacement-battery-for-home-boat-yacht/
  6. With the AGMs, I don't worry it too much....I've yet to run low on a trip. The 100ah is strictly for the TM and the 35ah runs everything else except starting. No, you have to get the charger separate. I have a NOCO Genius 5x2 (5 amps per channel, 2 channels) that'll handle wet cell, gel, AGM and Lithium...so when I upgrade batteries I don't have to change the charger.
  7. Mighty Max 200ah lithium is also $650. I've got a pair of Mighty Max AGMs (100ah, 35ah) and they've been very solid for me. MM is based out of New Jersey, so another US based distributor.
  8. Just make sure it's rated as a starting battery - some aren't, they're for deep-cycle use only.
  9. I remember seeing that one years ago in some magazine...can't remember when or where.
  10. (looks at this statement, thinks about Russ' job - scratches his head in confusion)
  11. There's so many variables that go into lure selection that it's impossible to pick 'one lure to rule them all.' Water Temp Water Clarity Wind Cloud Cover Time of Day Rain (none, drizzle, light, hard, pounding) Structure Cover If you can pin all those down, and guarantee that they don't change during the trip - then yes, I could pick one lure...but conditions change all the time, so it's impossible.
  12. Ya, drums are a whole 'nother animal. My old 1976 Charger SE and the 1979 Cordoba that replaced it (same body/chassis/engine/etc) had disc front, drum rear.
  13. Well, it was a 5-speed manual....I used the gears for most slow-down situations. I did go through 3 clutches in the 18 years I had it.
  14. Ya - on the C-1500 Work Truck...got it new in 1998, first time I had to replace pads on it was 2007 at about 90k miles.
  15. Before the wife stopped driving - I didn't need to do anymore maintenance on her car than I did on my car/truck (drove full-size sedans until 1994 when I got a Cherokee, then in 1998 got a C-1500, replaced that in 2016 with a Silverado)
  16. You convince her that you both need a 'fun allowance' out of the household budget. Agree that neither will ask the other what they spent their allowance on. After hemming and hawing a bit, mine agreed to this...starting next month.
  17. I dunno about Tom - but I'd find a different boat to be back-seater in...being restricted to one lure only is like saying 'All your bass fishing has to be on 1000-size spinning reels, ML rods and 6# test monofilament.'...it's ridiculous.
  18. Here's a pic of a Mitchell 320 - the metal lever pops up into that hole...can't push it back in manually...have to turn the handle to retract it letting the bail close again. And my Pflueger 640, which I still have, showing the lever engaging the bail lock
  19. Ya some older reels you had to - my old Mitchell 320 (mid 60s era) and my Pflueger 640 (early 70s) had 'positive lock' on the bails...little metal levers that engaged a hole or notch in the bail arbor...no way to flip the bail back manually - you had to turn the handle to close the bail.
  20. 1 Lure? 1 Bag maybe as Tom said...at least a small bag like a Plano 3600 Weekender, but a BPS Advanced Anger in 3600 would be better.
  21. Got it pretty much covered....only thing I could think of would be a pitching rig.
  22. Are you talking getting the bail to flip back to retrieve position after casting? Should be easy to just flip it - unless you're cranking the handle to do so...which is contra-indicated as that adds line twist. Always flip your bail back manually, don't use the reel handle to do so. My Avocet RZT-1000s and my President-25 (1000 size reel) will do this too - seems smaller reels have this problem...fix is to hook your finger in the line ready for casting before you let go of the handle.
  23. Typical though - 1988 I drove up to Marquette from Minneapolis for a Halloween party...my girlfriend at the time was attending NMU. Drive up was during a snow-storm, drive back was on icy & snow-packed roads.
  24. You just keep telling yourself that, Kent.
  25. Some days, there ain't much difference though.
