  1. Good luck getting the investors - Rapala VMC also owns Sufix, Blue Fox, Storm, Luhr Jensen, Terminator, Strike Master (Ice fishing tools including augers) and Williamson (salt water lures) They're probably the second biggest next to Pure Fishing.
  2. Well, I have a certain budget I work from every year...and I've already allocated the 'needed' things out of that at retail price and had enough spare for the upgrade to the Mojos. Get things on sale and I'll have even more spare.
  3. Stopped at Fleet Farm today to pick up a couple things...and handled several St. Croix rods...they carry Triumph, Premier, Bass X, Mojo Bass and Victory I'm gonna stretch my spending a little...after handling it for a bit...I've settled on a Mojo Bass 7'1" MH/F. It's light, it's responsive and it feels sensitive. I'm also getting a Mojo Bass 7'1" MHM which will replace the FR705CB for cranking...which will be relegated to spinners/chatters. I had been looking at the Bass X 7'2" MHM for this, which I did handle at FF - but the Mojo felt so much better.
  4. From my experience - YZH is close to neutrally bouyant...neither floats (like mono) nor sinks (like FC). It's the only line I'll use on my crankbaits as it doesn't seem to affect depth in any way.
  5. The few floating docks I've seen on Tonka are quite different. 55 gallon drums or plastic barrels filled with foam...quite often there's lots of space to skip under.
  6. Considering I've caught both - Eels in MA when I lived there, Northerns here in MN Ya, slimier than Eels.
  7. Same thing my MIL has? She's 75, has new hips, and still travels the country giving talks about commercial real estate sales to 'new' people in the field. She was president of CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women), and has won several awards.
  8. I got one - the wife is partially disabled....but sometimes even those slots are full. And yes, I check to make sure they're legal - $250 fine for non-handicap tagged vehicles parking in handicapped slot.
  9. Sometimes it's just finding an open spot.
  10. I prefer secular places of business.
  11. I'll still take Patricia
  12. Use an picture editing program to reduce the size. I have to take my phone pics from 3000x4000 to 1200x1500 for single images, 900x1200 if I'm putting 2-3 in one post. Right now, this is my prized possession.
  13. For me - add Hobby Lobby and Chick-Fil-A to that list.
  14. IIRC I read in Minneapolis Business Magazine that it was Chaska....I know there's a few buildings at the north end (Jonathan Park) that have been empty for a while. First full-time job I had after the Air Force was as a computer operator for Minnetonka Corp in Jonathan Park. Their place is like a warehouse with a service desk. Order online, pick up at the desk. Can't 'wander around' through a store type area deciding what you want.
  15. That's the other part that hits me. I want the slower retrieve that the JDMs have...do they think that all USDM reels have to be high-speed to entice the buyers?
  16. From what's been released for business news - their new location is actually closer to me than the current one...make it easier to order for pickup.
  17. Omnia is moving into their new location - sale running sitewide. 20% off almost everything with code 'MOVING20'
  18. Thing is - I can't find a 2000 size anything by Shimano at US shops...only JDM. US stores carry 1000, then 2500.
  19. For me it depends on the size of the spinner For 3/8oz spinners I like a 3.5"-4" - RI Little Dipper or Zoom Boot Tail are the two I have in inventory. 1/2oz spinners get up to a 5" - RI Skinny Dipper or Eco Pro Swing Shad are my picks here.
  20. Unless you go JDM and get a size that's functional and not available USDM for just a bit more. I've got a Nasci 2000s on my wishlist - 26IPT, 7.3oz....$78 from Digitaka...for some reason they don't sell the 2000 size over here.
  21. When the spool is full, of course The further you cast a lure, the more line taken from the spool, and the IPT goes down.
  22. Exactly - Tonka is a larger water, and in the canoe I restricted myself to the smaller bays. Wanted to get into the bigger water of the lake - and that's the reason I 'traded up' to the F-9.
  23. I've done the trout thing - as a kid in a stream near the house I caught brookies galore. Living in Bemidji, I'd fish the Straight River near Park Rapids for trout frequently. Ya - if you're releasing them, then delicate handling is required.
  24. Mine has started this cycle...pain in the rumpus.
