  1. Probably - here in the Minneapolis area around the Summer Solstice civil twilight ends around 9:40 pm. Even the end of July, it's still around 9:15 Course the other side of the Solstice - it's around May 19 when twilight ends around 9:15 This year - May 8 through August 9, twilight ends 9pm or later.
  2. The power is a step down - and that's pretty consistent for all Dobyns regular casting rods. The flipping rods and crank rods you can take the 'worded' power as it stands. Drives me a bit buggy as the spinning rods are power rated 'correctly'. Why the 3-power spinning is labeled 'Medium' but the 3-power casting is rated 'Medium-Heavy' makes me shake my head as the line/lure stats are pretty much the same. Far as action - I'd push the Dobyns down half a step - a Dobyns Fast is closer to a Mod-Fast. Saying this - I love my Dobyns and with only a couple exceptions, most of my arsenal will end up being Dobyns rods.
  3. Gotta be the mobile version screwing things up...this is what I see on my Win-7 Pro running FireFox But this is what my Galaxy Phone running FireFox sees So I'd probably still see the likes and such - but the 'personal info' isn't visible.
  4. Don't sell yourself short, Tom. I've learned a lot from your posts as well. You, Tommy and Glenn are my 'go to guys' for in-depth information. Others like Brian (@Team9nine), Kent (@roadwarrior), and others also dole out information that makes it easier to determine the 'when/where/why/how' of catching bass regularly.
  5. Ya, I run 15# Tatsu on my Patriarch for bottom-contact (jigs, T-Rigs, etc). Set 3/6 pins on, and set the mag to about 40% with the spool tension to slow-drop/stop. Can't remember the last time I backlashed that setup.
  6. This is the most common cause of break-off when tying FC line...line overlap. I can tie it - I just don't like the massive line-loss from clipping the tag end when tying larger lures like spinnerbaits, long jerkbaits, etc. I've gone to the MK knot for just about everything and it's served me well.
  7. With a nice chianti!
  8. Fuego CT maybe....
  9. Same here - spinning or casting, I use cheap mono to back my main line.
  10. Maybe they're like the Military and run on 'Zulu Time' - otherwise known as Greenwich Mean Time. Since GMT never changes - if the automated system that sends out weather data is running on GMT, then it would arrive 1 hour later during DST.
  11. Scheels still has 6#, 8# and 10# in stock to ship https://www.scheels.com/p/trilene-100%-fluorocarbon-xl/8950-1311935.html
  12. Well, I got four of my guys going on to tomorrow - with Cox and Hackney in the top 5 4 3 32 74 47
  13. Haven't you upgraded to Maritime Signal Flags yet? Get with the program, man. ?
  14. In terms of overall lithium mining - 2021 figures Australia - 55k tons Chile - 26k tons China - 14k tons USA produced only 1% of all the lithium mined last year. "But today, the U.S. is far behind, with only 1% of global lithium being mined and processed in the U.S., according to the U.S. Geological Survey." https://www.cnbc.com/2022/01/15/how-the-us-fell-way-behind-in-lithium-white-gold-for-evs.html
  15. Ya - it's the 150yd. Even with it being $0.70 more at FF - I'd get it there if I needed it...BPS gets none of my money anymore, only way I'll shop there is if I get gift-cards.
  16. Mike's still around - he's even posted here a couple times the past few days. Try sending him a PM, or tagging him in a post.
  17. That's an aside - I never go anywhere without my cigs...

  19. In the canoe - PFD, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, calendula essential oil (works like bug-spray, but natural), anchor, pliers, snips, paddle, med-kit, emergency throw cushion, air-horn - at minimum For the F-9 - all that and add small tool kit and fire extinguisher
  20. Research done: "Fatal car accidents in the United States spike by 6% during the workweek following the "spring forward" to daylight saving time, resulting in about 28 additional deaths each year, according to new University of Colorado Boulder research." "Prior to 2007, we saw the risk increase in April, and when daylight saving time moved to March, so did the risk increase," said Vetter. "That gave us even more confidence that the risk increase we observe is indeed attributable to the daylight saving time switch, and not something else." https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2020/01/200130144410.htm
  21. Ya, that's a biggie in some cases. I'm looking at AGM's for the F-9 and like what Mighty Max has to offer. And I can get them through the Lowes in Plymouth.
  22. Nope My panfish line is Sufix Elite Mono - 6# test - lo-vis green.
  23. ^ Echoing my 'close neighbor' - green 6# is my main panfish line and they don't seem to care.
  24. Well, with Brunswick purchasing Relion last fall - who knows. Relion only formed in 2014.
  25. 21 3 27 57 60 I've had better Day 1 results - course I've had worse too.
