  1. Certain things I remember great - old addresses I lived at for example. Other things I suck at remembering.
  2. Not everyone has the same ability for memory recall, Tom. Various mental conditions require some of us to use helpers.
  3. Just wait a few years - then you'll want a record keeping system. (getting older sucks)
  4. Nope, just a figure-8 knot tied...no worse than tying any knot.
  5. Since my Excel file is synced to G-Drive - I have access to it with the phone (Android Open Office) as well...just quicker to glance at the label
  6. I've got a P-Touch 1280 that we've had for years - I'm sure a less expensive model will do the job https://www.amazon.com/Brother-PT-1280-P-touch-Electronic-Labeling/dp/B000ALGKEO
  7. Another one who uses Excel to track my rigs - including line. And like 5/0, I use a Brother Label maker to print off the line type/# test and put it on the reel foot.
  8. Question being - how well does it go through guides...or come off the spool when you're using a long leader where the knot is buried in the reel a bit?
  9. How is it lost? They put it back in the river, alive and healthy.
  10. Personally - I go split-screen on my Striker 7...2D and Down-Scan simultaneously.
  11. Food, mortgage...ya, unimportant things. Money I'm putting in the F-9 was from giftings from relatives...all insist I spend it on 'something fun'...that's the only 'spare' money I have. Wife is partially disabled - we can't afford a PCA on our fixed-income...my 4-5 hour/once a week trips are the only time I have outside of taking care of her. If I got a part-time job - would have to either give up my fishing time or pay a PCA to come in while I was at work to watch her...at a higher rate than I'd get at the job...so a loss.
  12. The cobwebs and dust in my wallet keeps him at bay.
  13. Bet I can get it quicker... they're 35 minutes from my house. Drop an order, go pick it up. (Teasing)
  14. Except I have a Striker - not an Echomap. No card slot, Quick Draw is stored internally as the internal memory isn't taken up by pre-loaded maps. (best I could afford at the time)
  15. From what I understand - the Garmin can't address more than 32gb. My camera formats even the 128gb to FAT32, so it's usable. This is my camera card.
  16. My only 'gripe' is that they're still limited to 32gb...and it's a hard limit with them. My cheap ($50) camera says 32gb max...but I run a 128gb card in it no problem.
  17. Ya - if you're gonna create your own maps with Quick Draw, or download maps from the community via Active Captain - you need a blank card in the slot.
  18. One thing is that the IFGA tested YZH and it's actually stronger than the printed ratings. FryDog did a test some years ago - YZH had near the lowest stretch of any of the lines he tested. I treat everything except braid with KVD L&L.
  19. Nope - even the best get 'confused' if the bass (or any fish) is hugging any type of cover. Bass in thick weeds - hidden Walleye nestled up to a rock - hidden Crappie hugging the branches of a sunken tree - hidden.
  20. 12# YZH is the line I use on my crank-rig...Fuego CT. Rarely have backlashes, performs well enough that I got the 600yd spool so I don't run out.
  21. DSG currently having a sale on YZH - buy one, get one free.
  22. Unless you and some friends will finance it - it ain't happening....
  23. The three rods I have designated for shore fishing are M/F Casting 12#YZH M/F Spinning 8#YZH ML/F Spinning 4#YZH
