  1. Have I mastered any of those casting skills? No Am I fairly competent in them? For the most part - still can't skip worth a darn with BC, so do it with spinning gear. Been using baitcasters off-and-on since the early 80s

  5. Happens - ice fishing on Lake Bemidji back in the 70s...saw a bald eagle grab a walleye off the ice that a guy had just tossed out of his shanty to freeze for keeping. Considering that MN has the second largest population of balds in the country - after Alaska - they're pretty common...and Bemidji is a stone's throw from the Chippewa National Forest where a high percentage of the state's bald eagles live.
  6. You'll get my Ryobi tools over my cold, dead body My drill is going on 15 years now and yes...even that old one can use the newer lithium batteries...they designed the batteries to be backward compatible to the older tools
  7. True that - but when it's all you got until the weigh-in....
  8. I notice that Ike's not doing so hot today.
  9. Ya - right now they're at 2, 8, 11, 15 with Paul trailing at 67. Seth's moving up...GO SETH!
  10. Nope...runs from Lake George down by Ocala to Jacksonville My MIL lives in Ocala...that's how I know.
  11. Ya - early, but my guys total 16 fish for 34-3 and all 5 are still above the cut-line.
  12. Gotta see if I can get it up running on the Tablet - down in the garage today doing more pour-foam. That's my 'work' now - retirement is a good thing.
  13. Mullins must have found a 'hog trough'. Come-on Seth...you can do it!
  14. Ya - this fits that mayor
  15. I set my picks soon as it opened back on Dec 5 - still staying with my initial selection.
  16. I'm putting similar in the F-9 - my NOCO on-board charger will plug into this Other things I'm putting in - combined circuit breaker/disconnect for the batteries and USB ports fore and aft
  17. Talk to a tax lawyer or accountant See above.
  18. There are smallies in Minnetonka - not many, but they do exist. I'm putting 6# Elite on the L/F rig. We don't have threadfin - all we got is gizzard shad.
  19. Got that straight - propane heater on low got the garage up to 76...I'm about 1/3 done with the pour foam...might have it done by the weekend. Then it's on to building the main frame. Crap - gotta order 1x1 angle...I'm almost out.
  20. Well you can't have our weather - except Saturday...we'll give you Saturday.
  21. Hair jigs, feather jigs, marabou jigs 1/8oz or less - I fish them on a ML rod, 1000 size reel...finesse gear.
  22. If it's ALF - we're allowed long as it doesn't become an advertisement for them. That's where I got a pair of Patriarch BCs for under $100 each.
  23. The Tiny Lipless are 1/10oz (those are what I got) The 'Pond Favorites' are 1/16oz That's what Creme has for lipless...more for crappie than for bass, unless you're after dinks.
