  1. I'm in BR, TW and Omnia's groups....all with the same team.
  2. Far as I know - the main gears should be interchangeable between the two. The only difference internally is the T-Wing system - and I don't think the gears are involved other than driving the level-wind pawl...which really shouldn't matter if it's T-Wing or not. I'm sure Mike at DVT would have the definitive answer.
  3. Just get him one of those mini hover-crafts...then he can go anywhere off or on the water.
  4. Narrower in one profile - wider in another....I'll just stick with standard bullet shape. This looks more like a marketing ploy than a 'fix'.
  5. Fast enough for me - 39mph is only 1mph below the speed limit on my lake...
  6. A light brush of melted butter, a dash of salt and pepper - the broil it...that's the only way I eat fish of any species. Breaded fish - whether baked or deep-fried - makes me gag and I'll starve before eating it.
  7. I personally think that store-bought meats have become more bland over the years. People aren't use to things having their own flavor anymore, which is why the uptick in sauces, spices and such so people can customize the taste to their own palate. Wild game is too 'flavorful' for their homogenized, over processed, bland standards.
  8. Currently, there's still 15" of ice on Minnetonka - ya, we're getting warmer but not all that quickly. I'm sticking with my end-of-April prediction here.
  9. Sounds like my foray into FF....what's research?
  10. We chatted about that earlier in the month.
  11. I am a smoker - 50+ years - just that I do enough to keep in fairly decent shape...despite my 'six-pack' trying to become a 'pony-keg'. 20 years ago my 'normal' was around 96/57...so it's gone up as I age.
  12. I did some re-org of my rigs - Fury 702SF is now my over-all finesse rig. Prior to this year Neds were tossed on a Procyon L/F...that's been moved to my panfish arsenal.
  13. I'm the other end - if they're taking my BP manually, sometimes it takes them a couple tries to find it. My last checkup - 102/64
  14. I dunno - but I don't own enough rods to designate each to it's own technique. Every rig I have does double/triple/quadruple duty.
  15. I have to say I'm kind of a Dobyns fan-boy. Of the 10 bass-rigs for the boat, 6 of them are on Dobyns rods, and I've designated two more to be upgraded to Dobyns next year.
  16. Low end - Dobyns Fury 705CB - $130 Upper End - Dobyns Kaden 735CB - $190 I have the Fury and it's been a very good crank/topwater rod for me.
  17. That ain't milfoil... This fish disputes your statement.
  18. Ya - the braid wrapping should be slightly deforming the leader-line as you go along. That's where the 'grip' comes from...that's why tension on the lines as you create the knot.
  19. Dunno - if can upgrade that 3-0 to a 5-0 he'll take the lead. I think it's gonna be a battle between them right to the tanks. I think the rest are out of the running - even Masayuki is too far back to get out of 3rd.
  20. And those of us on fixed income - Social Security - aren't even keeping up. Inflation last year was 7% My COLA was 5.9%
  21. FG is the only main-leader knot I use. On 10# 832 to 6# InvizX on my finesse rig, I finish with 2-before cut and 2-after cut half-hitches...but no Rizzuto. I haven't had an issue.
  22. Should have known it was too good to last. End of Thursday I was at 97% Today - I'm at 53% Only one of my guys is continuing tomorrow.
  23. He sure bagged them today. And I got one going into tomorrow - of course it's Crews.
  24. That's where I get mine - for both bass T-Rigs and crappie slip-bobber fishing.
