  1. According to this thread - Temple Fork Outfitters
  2. Ya, the project boat I started on was an old fiberglass tri-hull that had been left out in the weather...seats and floors rotting away. I got going on replacing the floor when I found out that while the inner hull was water-tight, the outer hull had a crack halfway down the length between the middle and port side. Luckily, the boat had been free and I'd invested less than $300 at that point. Had it hauled away...
  3. He's looking for a project boat - something I tried years ago and gave up on. Your baby is water-ready now, Paul...not what he's wanting I think.
  4. Offer Up - make sure your location tracking is turned on...gets you results within 50 miles. https://offerup.com/explore/k/fishing-boat/?q=fishing boat&radius=50
  5. Is that a per-bait catch, or per-cast catch. If you catch a bass on a Senko once every three casts, but it only lasts two fish - that's $0.375/fish If you catch a bass on a Zlinky once every fifteen casts, but it lasts for three fish - there's your 5x more effective, but it's only $0.166/fish. More effective based on number of casts, but still over twice as expensive per fish. Being on such a tight budget, I'll take the more casts/less expensive route as I'm not trying to pull in numbers like fishing a tournament, I'm trying to catch on a budget.
  6. My question is - is there actual, quantifiable data showing that Senkos outperform other stickbaits to the degree that the added expense is balanced out? Example: Senkos are 47% more expensive than Zlinkys (at retail price per bait) - are they 47% more effective per bait in attracting/catching bass? Where's the data...the proof?
  7. If I was to get back into model rocketry, I'd get them from the same places I get my plastic models and supply - couple locally owned stores here in the cities.
  8. With the number of Senkos I've lost without fish...if I'm going to continue to fish stick-worms, I need something more in my budget $0.75 each for Senko $0.49 each for Zlinky Even if I catch 30% less fish per worm using Zlinkys, I still come out ahead in the monetary game.
  9. Once I run out of my Senkos and Stik-Os - I've already committed myself to getting Zlinkys.
  10. Ya, I've already pulled the battery and TM from the canoe for the year. Now I wait for open water in the spring...even panfish in April is better than no fishing at all. No, I don't ice-fish.
  11. Wife is 100% behind my decision - she shops elsewhere for shotskis.
  12. Not a victim - I refuse to give them any of my money...even if they're less expensive than elsewhere.
  13. And into the deep freeze we go - way earlier than normal
  14. It's not the cost of living that's the issue - it's selling a house that's underwater (owe more than it's currently worth), and moving a disabled wife down with me - need special transport.
  15. I'd love to - you paying for it, Kent? (only way I could afford to move)
  16. Maybe it's a lipless and he couldn't get live minnows so is faking it.
  17. Superglue? I dunno. Maybe Mike at @Delaware Valley Tackle can help.
  18. Ya - probably the same bail-engage that my old 320 had.
  19. We've had this discussion before...earlier this year IIRC. On my reels that allow it, I close it manually. My old Pflueger 640 that's not an option as the bail-engagement is a metal lever that clicks into a slot...so it HAS to be done with a turn of the handle.
  20. I did a quick check - Yep, no limit to the number of rods in use there. http://www.eregulations.com/tennessee/fishing/statewide-limits-regulations/
  21. I don't ice fish - so I'm not totally up on it. I stand (or sit right now) corrected.
  22. I'm usually only out for 4 hours - but in that time I see at least a couple water patrols pass by...and it's a fair size lake (14,000+ acres). So you probably couldn't get away with it here.
  23. Ya, it's more about conserving a resource than being 'free'. Freedom comes with responsibilities, and in this case since so many abused the privilege, they had to restrict things through legislation.
  24. Build it yourself to your specs. https://www.jannsnetcraft.com/
  25. Well, if you've been a Texas resident all your life and never fished outside the state...I don't wonder. More states than not restrict how many rods you can have in use at one time.
