Mike Long
The fact that he's removed himself from virtually all social media platforms is damning in itself. Why wouldn't he try to defend himself if it was just 'allegations'?

Spook too soon - went and checked...his Facebook account is down.

How long before his Facebook, personal website and Youtube account disappear? Any bets?

Minnesota Fishing Report - 2019
Aaaand...due to scheduling issues, tomorrow isn't happening after all. Maybe next week.

Minnesota Fishing Report - 2019
Depending on that situation...the shorter the better. That applies to fishing as well.

Mike Long
That treble ain't big enough for his style of 'fishing'. Also, his own webpage has also been quiet for over a year.

Mike Long
Of course he hasn't posted anything new that I could see in over a year...think he's hiding?

Thermocline
Sure looks like a thermocline band to me. My last sonar (10+ years ago) was a grey-scale unit and it showed up as a hazy, gray band on that one.

OUCH! (Reminder for Kayakers/Boaters
All these tips you're posting can apply to us canoeists as well. Far as the first-aid kit? Even though I haven't had to use it this year, I check it before every trip.

Good thing my next planned trip is tomorrow - high of 80

Drop Shot Setup
My drop shots are done on 8# Suffix Advanced 21 Mono...allows the bait to float above the weight. For 30', I'd go with a 3/8 or 1/2 oz weight...for 3' it'd be 1/16 or 1/8 oz. If there's wind or current, up the weights. Other may have other suggestions.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
The 130 is only 1-3/8 oz...long as you don't try to put it into orbit, that MH rod should handle it. It's when you try to load the rod for max distance that the ratings need to be adhered to...lobbing casts would be fine on what you have.

paint on rod falling off
Na - the paint is just to 'pretty it up', has no effect on action/power. If it's an issue with looks, take it back to the store you got it...they should be able to replace it.

Any chance this bass survives?
Smaller turtles would just rip it apart, as would crayfish...even smaller fish would feed on it.

How much will you drop on a pair of sneakers?
The only pair of shoes I've spent more than $100 on is my high-boots...pair of Red Wings that I've had for almost twenty years. My Wellingtons I got off the discount rack at a local shoe store...$60..now 8 years old. My work boots are Dr. Scholls Steel Toe that I paid $70 for and have had for a dozen years. My sneakers are 'no-name' ones I got at Payless for $20...now 6 years old...but the soles are getting to the point it's time to replace the shoes. I also got a pair of crocs last year on sale for $25...wear them around the house mainly.

Post a photo a day!
So far every trip I've had has been like that - either skunked or dinks. BTW: If it was just you and the missus...where'd you leave half-dozen?

Lures for bass and pan fish
Beetle spins, smaller jerkbaits (Rapala floating size 03 or 05), smaller crankbaits (Rapala Shad Rap size 04 or 05, Rattlin' Rap size 04 or 05, DT-4, DT-6), inline spinners (Mepps size 01, 02, 03 in either Aguila or Comet) There's a few suggestions that'll work for both small-mid size bass and panfish.

Any chance this bass survives?
We've had this argument several times here...there are those of us who consider them 'just fish'. If it's eating size, then there's a fair chance it's coming home with me and going in the freezer. Others have other opinions, but they're just fish, no different than sunnies, crappies, walleye, trout.

Any chance this bass survives?
Add to that, there's a big difference between a disfigured mouth and losing a good portion of it's oxygen gathering capability. I do agree with @Glaucus...that bass should have been taken home for a meal.
