  1. Wind is the determining factor for me in the braid vs fluoro question. When the wind slacks off and the lake gets quiet, braid is just too noisy.
  2. The EWG style ned heads are the best. Guy named Motzart28736 on the ebay makes any size, color, and hook option. Had a 4 lb TN creek smallie on one today. Great heads and very reasonable prices.
  3. Yup-I bet you dont lose many fish on treble hook baits Mr. Hottle.
  4. Very nice- and a Garmin trolling motor too! A+ job!
  5. Yes, modifying to recess the foot pedal. I have a 185 and wanted to be sure there was not anything under the deck that could possibly be damaged by cutting a hole in it!
  6. Anyone ever try try to cut a trolling motor recess into the front deck of a Tracker Aluminum? Thanks for any tips guys.
  7. In the south on a gizzard shad spawn. The most aggressive jerkbait bite I have ever experienced.
  8. I just bought another one of these rods from Academy today. The 7' M is perfect for small crankbaits.
  9. Baitfish do not like boats. We have all had a school of bass come up on top, try to move towards them and down they go. I have noticed they do not mind the kayak as much. A very smart pro said the farther you get your bait from the boat, the more likely you are to catch a big fish.

  11. Feels like you are stealing one when you find that pond you can fish in a hurricane and everyone else has to sit it out! Good looking water!
  12. The dedicated rod is the gateway drug to purchasing ridiculous numbers of combos.
  13. You just described my #1 and #2 rods and techniques for Middle TN smallie floats. My rod #3 is a MH fast with a super fluke, which seems to get better as fall approaches. I dont get too carried away with high end equipment in the kayak-seen too many guys donate expensive gear to the river. Be safe out there!
  14. Check out Robusto Custom Lures. He has done excellent custom work for me on numerous occasions. Great paint jobs, quick turnaround, and very reasonable prices. Good guy as well. https://www.facebook.com/robustocustomlures
  15. In what conditions do yall throw a blue swimjig-or blue chatterbait? I have always heard blue on a cloudy day. Thanks yall.
  16. Easy answer-use the bendiest of these rods.
  17. Revenge makes a great head. Long shank, nasty sharp hook.
  18. Good grief man- how many boats have yall sank?
  19. We talking a top hook here or screwlock hook like an Owner Beast? I LOVE these baits!
  20. You are a growing boy LrgmouthShad, dont forget your bacon!
  21. 7' casting, maybe 18' trolling.
  22. Deep WiggleWart! What took so long for that one?
  23. Bite. 73lbs. Ford F150 Big Fish 120. 100lbs. Range Rover I own the Bite and would not trade you for any other boat.
