  1. Jdm Bantam mgl PG 5:5 for $240 on ebay!
  2. I haven't had the 894 but have had the 893. It needed imo a bantam mgl to balance anywhere near tip up (7.8oz)I've heard the balance in the 894 is actually worse. My understanding is that the 894 weighs 4.3 oz but the steez weighs 5.6 oz. From the people I've been talking to the steez will balance with a 5.5 oz reel yet the nrx needs at least at 7.8 oz reel. I guess overall you Nrx 12.1 total weight and steez 11.1 if you go with a 5.5 oz reel. Even if you go with a Metanium MGL the steez /met combo would weigh 11.9oz,still lighter than the nrx. I've now talked myself into it. ;). Also, I did always find myself trying to keep my 893 in my hands but struggled at times with my braid to leader knots in the recoil guides. I'm hopeful this new bottom contact steez will be everything those who have it say it is. I'm excited
  3. I've still been beating myself up about which rod to replace my broken NRX 893C with. Currently, The NRX's aren't going to be available for the places I'd need to swap my broken rod from until around mid August from what I'm being told. I'm considering going with a new Daiwa Steez AGS 7'5 MHH Bottom contact rod that has just come out. I can get that rod most likely next week ish. A lot of the feedback has been great and I'm told that it fishes the 894 type weights extremely well as well balances much better. This morning I asked about the 894 weight because I couldn't find it. The 894 weighs around 4.3 ounces at 7'5 and the steel weighs around 5.6 ounces, for some reason this has concerned me a little. Does anybody else have any opinions? I'm pretty gun show going away from that bullet proof G Loomis warranty. Gary from the tackle trap shows a picture of the new steez balancing just after the lock nut with a mid 5 oz reel. 4. I got one from 6th sense. Unfortunately the first bass I caught with it (3lber) pulled the snap right open. I was using a 2018 megabass XX emtf rod with the drag fairly loose. The snap should have never failed. I attempted to contact 6th sense by social media and email but didn't get a response. I wouldn't think a $15 crankbait snap would fail like that.
  5. What's your guys ultimate frog rod? I'm looking at a longer rod, current is a 7'6, I'm replacing it with something similar in length , I have shorter rod if I'm trying to pitch. Price can be as much or as little as possible. If there's a really high end rod that's fantastic I'd love to hear about it. I also know it's a frog rod and they make a lot of great budget ones. I have the 7'3xh expride for the heavy heavy stuff. I'm looking for something very light weight, longer and a soft enough tip to frog moderate cover, being multipurpose for items like a buzz bait is nice too.
  6. How are you liking the p5s? Are they way better than the US destroyers? I was being told by the dealers that they were but I kind of found it hard to believe.
  7. 7'3 MH Posion Adrena with a Metanium B, 40lb smackdown to 16-20lb fc100 leader. Lethal weapon Iv 1/4oz swim jig with a craw trailer. I can work it like a jig, throw it at docks, burn it over grass, wherever
  8. I know the in person event has been canceled but they are doing virtual. I'm sure companies are still going to come out with new items. Rumors and official releases can go here if one hasn't been started?
  9. I'd assume not good for grass though?
  10. I'm going to take your word on it.
  11. Those revenge seem nice however I wonder about the less pointed head, the lethal weapon Iv is very pointed. I feel like the revenge wouldn't clean off as much, I'm likely wrong
  12. Have you heard this from anyone else ? I know I brought the rumor up on here because a dealer told me of said rumors
  13. I've been looking for a 894c at dealer. Loomis is currently months behind. I'm hoping to find one a shelf somewhere. Can pay in vision 110s and lipless baits
  14. What's your favorite swim jigs and why *Jig *Weight *Color *Trailer If you want to give imaway your secrets Mine *Lethal weapon Iv with a craw. I love the head for cleaning the grass, love the keeper but am not in love with the skirt or colors, also wouldn't mind a heavier weight. I'd love to try the witch sense or dirty jigs but am not sure about the screw lock around the shank keeper. I feel like I'd just mess up plastics putting them on. Also, they heads especially on the dirty jigs don't seem to gave as much of a point. What are your guys favorites?
  15. Happened to me today in michigan while fogging. It completely locked up my setup to the point I stopped frogging
  16. I'm holding off because it sounds like the nrx might be getting an upgrade. Honestly, I'd have replaced my rod with a current 894c but you can't get one Shimano offered me a conquest in replacement of my nrx but I already have adrenas which are more of a mod fast or fast action. My nrx was my dedicated jig rod and that's what I want to replace it with. I was going to go with the conquest 904c but decided against it.
  17. What longer handles have you guys used on your Shimano mgl reels? I'm looking at them for wrenching bass out of grass
  18. What's that supposed to mean?
