Those rods that are just special
Let's here about rods and or combos current or previous production models that you think are just special for a certain technique. I'll start and not my highest end rod but there's something special about my Kistler H3 7'1 MH with an aldebaran on it. To me it's not even what I meant here because I don't use it for one specific thing but it's a beautiful balance of strength and extremely lightness

Somewhere or someone to send my shimano mgl reels for cleaning
Any recommendations? . Personally I've done it myself but I'll no doubt screw stuff up

Recommend me a nice Shimano BC reel
Either or but both are great. The bantam is even better. They are both leaps and bounds above the slx

Ultimate heavy cover 6 inch senko rod
I appreciate that, don't get me wrong my 7'1 MH H3 with an aldebaran on it is one of my favorite things to throw. It'll handle a lot and weighs nothing. Honestly I think I don't use it enough because it feels like a light cover rod due to its weight.

Ultimate heavy cover 6 inch senko rod
I was just asking about rods. I'm not sure why someone cares that it's an expensive rod.

Ultimate heavy cover 6 inch senko rod
I've never tried a zbone but really am interested in comparing one to an nrx. The cheap build (however amazing blank) of the H3 kind of turned me off.

Ultimate heavy cover 6 inch senko rod
A good friend needs a recommendation on the best 6 inch whacky rigged senko rod for heavy grass. We're fishing in ten feet or less usually and I'm most likely recommending the nrx line up. The max fish size is also around 5lbs.He has the means and we both enjoy higher end gear but if something else makes sense for less thats great. I'd recommend the nrx 893c that I have but I just don't think it's super ideal for getting them turned quick and away from the thick heavy grass. It's easy to lose them as soon as they bury in the grass. I'm wondering what your guys thoughts are? Would the 873crr have enough tip to throw the light senko? I'm think the 894 certainly wouldn't.

Gen 1 Hydrowave KVD Speaker
Does anyone know where i can get a Gen 1 hydrowave speaker kvd speaker? I can't find any online and my understanding is that the H2's have a different connector to the main unit. I'd rather not buy an entire new unit because my speaker failed. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Your favorite baitcaster between $200-300
Shimano metanium mgl for just under $300 on ebay (JDM) model. Or get it from the Japanese sites for around the same price. I have all the shimanos up there and the chronarch is nice. It's just not metanium nice. The metanium is something really special.

Considering trying flouro
Thank you. I'm now excited. On the sensitivity thing, do you notice much difference? Thank you

Considering trying flouro
Any concerns with 12 on my setup fishing around grass? 1/2 ounce and under jig hooksets won't be a problem?

Considering trying flouro
I've been a 100% braid guy from the get go including braid to leader for a lot of applications. I'm considering trying straight flouro on my 893/bantam mgl jig rod because I just haven't done it before. I've also had a few leader knot failures and wouldn't mind not having to deal with the knot going through guides. If I did spool one reel up it will most likely be tatsu unless anybody has suggestions on a better no fuss line. A couple questions * what line size will be the most versatile? I'll be throwing jigs but I'll throw a bunch of stuff on that rod including a six inch senko, 15lb tatsu? *Do I need to do anything special when putting it on the reel? *Will I notice much sensitivity loss switching from braid to leader?

Shimano casting reels
The DC casts car but it's an inferior reel to both the K and Bantam. The dc doesn't have micro module gears if I remember correctly. My bantams are butter but don't case as far. My DC feels sloppy but will send a 1/2 Oz plug a country mile.

KVD moving to Lew's
Am I the only one that thinks that the pros using sub par brand rods and reels are actually using high end other stuff made to look like the sub par brand?

Deciding between two rods
What are you planning to do with this rod? What rode models are you looking at? My understanding is shimano carries the same models and blank ratings through both the expride and zodias. Having owned neither the expride is a nicer rod. It should be a little lighter and more sensitive. So, certain techniques do not require the rod to be super light and sensitive. If you aren't interested in spending the extra money for the expride I'm sure the zodias rods used for reaction baits such as topwater, spinners, jerkbaits will be just fine. You'd want to spend the extra on bottom contact type rods.

Humminbird Guys, Help me Upgrade to Mega+
Upgrading my current helix 10 G2N system So I’d like to update from my current system to include mega 360. I currently have a Helix 10 SI/DI/GPS G2N at the console linked together with a Helix 10 DI at the bow through a 5 port hub including my I pilot link. I do not have any 360. From my understanding in order to have mega 360 I’ll need to purchase a G3N unit. I’d like to take advantage of having the two existing G2N units. One thought I had was to move the DI unit from the bow and run both the Helix 10 G2N SI/DI combo alongside the Helix 10 G2N DI. I’d then potentially run a Helix 10 or 12 G3N SI/DI combo at the bow but link them through the hub and use the transom new G3N transducer. In my mind this would allow me to have new Mega DI, Mega SI viewed at the console on both G2N units as well as the bow. I could then run 360 up front or split screen. Could I still keep my Helix G2N DI transducer that’s currently mounted on my ultrex and plug it into the new G3N Bow unit? Any recommendations of a Helix 10 vs 12 G3N for 360 up front would be appreciated The total investment would be a Helix 10 G3N Mega + SI/DI Combo Mega 360 I currently have two screens, a helix 10 G2N SI at the console. I also have a Helix 10 G2N Di at the bow. They are linked together. I want a mega 360. My understanding is I need a G3N unit to have mega 360. So I am wondering If i can move my bow G2N DI unit to the console making up two G2N units at the console. Add a G3N Mega + SI/DI unit to the bow. I'd then install the G3N transducer and link them all together hopefully allowing me to view Mega + SI/DI on my G2N console units and allow me to view Mega 360 on the new Bow G3N Unit.

Kistler helium 3, shimano Expride or megabass orochi xx ??
I agree with the kistler garage build. I flat out love mine but the hook keeper rusted on mine as well as several of my buddies and the foam cracked and split. Otherwise they are amazing rods. By the way I have the xx and destroyer, people are right when they say the fit and finish just does it.
