  1. no, but that would be awesome! ;D
  2. Nice report! I love the Quabbin. Will hopefully be getting out there soon.
  3. Because the dealer will say no, Im sure he asked here to see if anyone was able to break the ice. You can get the deals on all the extras (trailer upgrades, fish finders, boat covers, trolling motors, and Gift cards to Basspro). Be prepared to haggle, and then walk if you dont like the "deal". Just my .02
  4. Get yourself a 1x2 or similar wood and cut it to any length that fits your rod locker. Drill some holes in it 3/4 inch or so apart. Use some double sided adhesive tape and attach it to the locker lid, then get your self a bunch of pear clips and you are all set. The possibilities are endless. http://www.hang-ups.com/TABSTYLE/Itemdesc.asp?ic=CRP&eq=&Tp=
  5. Congrats man! Good luck with the new boat! Planning anything for it? Fishfinder up front? Auto Bilge? LED Lights?
  6. I have seen and read people are very happy with the transducer armor. He now makes a version for 12v motors too.
  7. If you can afford the a 24V setup (dual batteries, Charger, TM and wiring, I say go for it. The 55 will work, but like they say............too much is never enough.
  8. Don't forget to give the plywood a few good coats of waterproofing poly (Especially the edges)
  9. Here is a link that will let you build an interactive livewell with all the components you need. Click on the livewell builders guide on the right. http://www.flow-rite.com/marine/index.html?open_menu=1&sub_menu=1
  10. Bass are biting like crazy! Get out there and have some fun!
  11. Hi, I would have the compression checked and if its good, I would then give it a full tune up even replacing the impeller. That way you know for sure it is "fresh" for you. Those motors will last forever. I had a Yami 25hp 4 stroke. Unbelievably smooth, very reliable, always started on the first turn of the key....even after sitting all winter. I think you are making a good choice. Good luck!
  12. In my opinion a 10 footer is too small for a conversion like you mentioned? What is the weight capacity, I can bet your way over it as is with 2 guys and full equipment. Adding an additional 110....ouch. Be careful.
  13. I think they are. I had one in my G3 and it gave me no issues the 2 years I had the boat. You hear good and bad things about those batteries, but more good than bad.
  14. I'm a fan!
  15. Get the biggest you can afford. Anything over 55 pounds will require 24volt (2 batteries). So you need to factor in that cost. Weight, Charging etc. Congrats on the new boat!
  16. And those spinnerbaits are nothing special In my opinion. You can get 2-3 excellent ones for the price of one of those.
  17. Order them direct from Megabass USA. They are located in MA and could probably ship them fairly quick to NY.
  18. How about the automakers also drop the price of vehicles 10-15k each. No reason to be paying 30K+ for a pickup truck IMO.
  19. I agree with the above, a 48 inch bottom will be perfect.
  20. A wrap can cost upwards of 3-4k. Too bad because they look cool.
  21. It can be done, but it will get hot in the sun and will not be as quiet as carpet when you drop things.
