  1. The receiver of the waypoints happened to know the guy who’s waypoints there were
  2. Agreed. If a formal complaint was made we should be privy to the person making the accusation. It sounds like the person didn’t appreciate his waypoints being sold by Scott for info. I wouldn’t either
  3. He doesn’t seem to have much respect from his peers and that’s very telling. With the industry in a tight spot, sponsorship money dwindling, veteran guys losing roster soots, etc it’s only natural for competitors to be less likely to let things go that puts them in an unfair position
  4. Didn’t thrift win last year? I’m pulling for strader
  5. Yep. My favorite “cheap” reel.
  6. I experienced the same with the Elite at first but then put it on a square bill rod and instantly became a big fan. Can’t explain why it was drastically way better slinging hard baits over others but am not complaining. The Coastal SV does a great job with heavier stuff and doesn’t seem to be as heavily braked as the tatula sv
  7. I’m not trying to crap on the Fury but it’s wildly overrated to me and I’ve owned a few. It used to be a decent rod for the money but as more companies have attacked that $100 mark it’s been passed by. The only redeeming quality it has in 2025 are the crankbait and swim bait specific models. The more general purpose rods are just too heavy and lack sensitivity to compete in today’s market. Look at Falcon, Ark, and Daiwa instead.
  8. I’ve seen the roller clutch bearing absolutely blown to pieces. The plastic hosing broke and when I took the side plate off roller pins went everywhere.
  9. If you were only talking about worms, maybe. But when you include creatures, swim baits, flukes, trailers, etc it would be very hard to. I do think you could get by with 2 or 3 brands if forced but there’d be situations where a certain product would. be missing.
  10. Same. Once I sawe one at $250 was a KastKing it was over because 99% chance that’s what they’d send me!
  11. Oh that’s spicy. I’ve never been more tempted
  12. McCoy Mean Green is a better version of Big Game in my opinion. It’s my main line and on 80% of my reels.
  13. The Cara heavy cover jig 7’4 rod would be perfect for your needs. Nice strong back bone but lighter tip. It fishes like a MH but has the added backbone deep in the blank if you need it. Really good stick for sweeping hook sets.
  14. I used it for a bit 7-8 years ago because it was what Walmart had at the time I needed it and didn’t have any real issues. But it faded really bad.

Kind of like the steroid era in baseball. They’re all doing the same thing, some just get caught

Wheeler, Scott Martin, connell, MDJ, etc that post regular tournament content and travel logs have guys who shoot and produce their content. I’m sure others don’t but it’s becoming the new norm

As far as YouTube goes, most seem to have their own cameraman producing the videos and I’m sure that person takes most all profit from views. The angler probably just leverages the views into better sponsor money. Just my guess
  18. I believe it has a different spool and pinion support as well. I had two 18s that both weighed 8.3oz which is more than the box stated. I sold both shortly after buying because the side plate had some edges that dug into my palm after several hours. I don’t get that with the 22 for some reason
  19. He pulled off his dock stretch and let MDJ have it in final minutes. They were heading towards each other fishing each dock. MDJ caught a 4 pounder to get in knockout.
  20. Good question. If it were say $100 per year for all the BPT, invitationals, cups, etc I’d have no problem with that.
  21. The lack of cameras is a big problem. The need at least 10. I believe in elimination days they put cameras in the boats fighting for that position. The guys at the top are just running new water practicing for tomorrow.
  22. I’m in the minority but I like the i shape knobs. However the material is not the same quality as shimano. They get slick and knicked up way too easy
  23. I actually owned the Head Turner for years before trying. Snapped my HCJ rod being an idiot trying to boat flip a 5 pounder in pads. Grabbed the Head Turner and liked it better. At the time I owned 4 Head Turners. It’s one of my favorite rods for a lot of things.
  24. The 22 bantam is so much better than the 18 in my opinion. It’s more comfortable, feels lighter, and casts better. The 18 bantam was like holding a brick
