  1. Just like the others said, no insurance = no fishing in my book. On another note I just switched from Progressive to Allstate (they also have my vehicles and homeowners so Im sure there is a multi-line discounts). Progressive was raising my rate from $540 to $650 because my teenage son. I checked with Allstate and their "Premium" policy was $270. When I bought my boat I never checked and for 2 years I've been getting whacked because I didn't shop and drank the Progressive Kool Aid that because the sold the most the were the least expensive. All to say call your agent and get a quote. GO BIG RED
  2. That's when I start that gas thingie on the back. Thats an option but I haven't figured out how to steer it from the front of my boat.
  3. If your purely looking for spot fishing I would go with Amber. I have a set of blue mirrors and love them for an all around lens. GO BIG RED

  6. Hi Mike! Leaving on the 27th and returning on the 1st.
  7. Jon if I got that close I would probably have to go onto Fork. Grand Lake is probably getting most of my interest but there seems to be limited internet info on it. The only time I've fished it was the running the rivers for white bass.
  8. Hi All its been a year and 4 months since I pulled my boat out of storage. I know shame on me but it was a miserable year. So here's the dilemma. I have limited time to make a business trip/fishing trip. Clients in Oklahoma and want to fish for a minimum of 3 days. I'm going to do my best to get to Fork as I've have had experience there and have spent about 8 days fishing it. If I cant make the extra day of travel work, what lake/lakes would you recommend in Oklahoma. Thanks in advance. GO BIG RED ps. I hope you Sooners' don't hold that ugly 10-3 win against me.
  9. Polarized sunglasses are a must for spotting and seeing. Thanks for spinning the thread to safety as I can set my glasses down as the sun goes down and I need to throw some clear ones in for safety. GO BIG RED
  10. Couldn't you tell from looking at my avatar?
  11. I think this is Kansas and Syracuse's tourney to lose. Husker basketball has relagated me to rooting for our girls. GO BIG RED!!
  12. Roadwarrior I tend to agree and have in the past and thats why I have the collection. Struggle to throw stuff away. Flippin I've put 2 tackle boxes together from the carry over for a couple of boys at church. The spinners are just in tough shape and was wondering about rebuilding them. I made 2 out of about 9 bad ones and put them in the tackle boxes.
  13. good point on the reel fills. Burly, pm me the vanish is yours. Rod
  14. We still have ice but I've got the cleaning bug and have a few questions and your help is greatlly appreciated. 1. How long is mono good that has been stored in fairly good conditions. (Inside in the winter and in dark plastic tubs in the summer) Same question with PLine Floroclear? 2. I have a butt load of Vanish 12lb, 17lb. Is it just crap that needs to be tossed? 3. Is it worth rebuilding old spinnerbaits? Thanks in advance and GO BIG RED!

  16. Those were priced from the Interstate Battery Store and after a 10% discount. Thanks for the info.
  17. I'm in the process of replacing both trolling motor batteries and my cranking battery. Leaning toward Interstate 29 series at $100 a piece for the the trolling batteries. Interstate 1000 cranking amps for the other at $117. Any suggestions or advice? Thanks!
  18. Is that an invite open to a Husker?
  19. I grew up in Livingston, Montana and the Paradise Valley is pretty hard to beat for elk. This year in Central Nebraska was pretty good to my son this year for whitetail.
  20. Nebraska 0ctober 1965 10# 11oz. Five National Championships since then, this record needs to fall. GO BIG RED
  21. We have both and Cabelas get 10 to 1 of my fishing dollars. Mostly based on instore expertise. GO BIG RED
  22. I've fished Lake Fork twice. The 1st trip we had Roy Greer on my boat the 1st day and was worth every penny. The next 4 days on our own were spent fishing versus guessing. My next trip was a 2.5 day guided with Tom Redington. Great trip, great friend. The weather sucked and the fishing was slow but Tom worked his butt off to put me on my PB in my avator. Was a teacher for my 16 year old son, couldn't ask for more. I have talked to and tried to book John Tanner and wouldn;t hesitate to spend my time with him. No clue on the rest but Bighead knows the lake well as does Ringfry so trust their recommendations. GO BIG RED
