College Football Pickem
The sad part of Saturdays topsy turvey outcome was limited celebration of the OU/TU losses. Why did it have to be to Colorado and KState. What a funny year! Hopefully years like this one will get us closer to a playoff. And by the way, how are the BCS pollsters going to figure out how to get an 0-5 Notre Dame into a BCS game? GO BIG RED

Wisdom From Larry The Cable Guy
The best part of Larry is that he is a die in the wool Husker Fan. He has a luxury box right above our season tickets and throws free hot dogs to the crowds. GO BIG RED

rigging and techniuqes for tubes
Thanks for the thread I've had some similar questions. Do you always have to retie the jig when you change tubes. I put the jig head in the tube and push the eyelet through to tie the line on. It is a pain to retie everything when just wanting to change the tube. GO BIG RED

Sold on wacky rigs.
It's my go to rig. I would venture a conservative guess that 80% of the fish I've caught this year have been on a 5.5", 6" or 7" trick stick, wacky rigged. BTW, watermelon and pumpkin have been the dominate colors. GO BIG RED

Best Knot for Braid line?
I too prefer the palomar on everything except Floro. Sometimes the cranks are a pain with it but I don't use them with my braid set ups unless I'm in a pinch.

Right, wrong or indifferent?
It takes a few months of being on B/R to get a good idea of which members opinions are backed with knowledge and experience and who really just wants to be heard for being heard sake. As a wise old women once told me about opinions. Dig for the truth in it and leave the rest in the crapper where it belongs. The crapper seems to always be fuller than the truth end. I too enjoy the entertainment of the threads but still amazes me that people post some threads under the annonimity of the internet. Kind like everyone on eharmony is good looking and rich. Well I babbled long enough, and yes the good looking rich guy in my avator is married to my wife. GO BIG RED

College Football Have's & Have Not's
What I know now is that it is early in the season so Burley it's probably true none of us know for sure what we think we know or don't know. Early season Polls are only and indicator. I expect to see LSU and USC play for the mythical National Championship. Several teams stand in their way and until theres a playoff nobody better get ambushed. GO BIG RED

College Football Have's & Have Not's
Catt, have your ever seen so much arm tackling way up high. Our defensive staff needs to be re-done. BO PELINI where are you? Oh yeah at LSU. I'm anxious to see Oklahoma play a real team. I think their defense is great and there Red Shirt Freshman QB has bees good so far. Florida destroyed Tennessee but again who knows. The one thing I know for sure is LSU is for real and I believe USC is too. But as I said we have a small groups of Have's and a big group of Have Not's. GO BIG RED

Tackle/worm bags
I use BPS's version and there ok. I think I try to keep too much stuff in them. Hey Fluke and Bob how do catagorize? I'm going by type of soft plastics, ie. senko's, lizards, gulp, worms, flukes. But it can still be hard to find exact stuff quickly and I have 6 bags. Any suggestions? Rod

College Football Have's & Have Not's
You're not kidding Ed. When the young man was taking out on the stretcher they made a decision enough of this and it was over. Our linebakers were awful. Whether it was over persuit or not taking care of their space I'm not sure but it is very obvious where we can be exposed. I maybe making a trip to KC Rod

Michigan v. Notre Dame
The worst part about this game was that someone had to win and come out ot the ranks of the totally defeated. Yet who am I to talk after we embarrassed ourselves in prime time. GO BIG RED

College Football Have's & Have Not's
Wow, I'm stlll sitting here reeling (without a Shimano in hand) from last night. USC dominated our lines and kicked our butts. The first 15 minutes I truely believed we had stepped back into the elite program status, then I watched the next 30 minutes and realized that we were on the Have Not side of College Footbal. The last time I seen holes that big to run through was the 1996 Fiesta bowl and it was Nebraska running through Florida. It appears to me we have 4 dominate college programs; USC< LSU>Oklahoma&Florida. The rest of us maybe on the outside looking in. I'm looking forward to Ball State next week and hopefully licking our wounds and preparing for the Big XII north. Thanks for listiening. Oh and by the way it was the first sporting event in 16 years of life that I ever had my son ask to leave anything early. He drank the kooaide with me and took it pretty hard. GO BIG RED ( Next Week will be Ok)

'STONED'
Kelley, I had Kidney Stones 9 years ago. I really thought at the time I would rather die. My wife said I was laying on the floor cussing like a sailor and callling on the Lord at the same time. From what I understand there are 2 types of stones and I was advised to drink more water and less caffiene. It's amazing how good I was with the caffiene as long as I had a vivid memory of the pain. Now I still drink coffee but by the cup instead of the pot. Rod

I was not part of the giveaway but I placed and order and Bobby sent an extra tube. He is the Bass Crack dealer. I'm addicted and now hooked. Thanks Bobby, I love the megastrike, better yet I believe in it and thats 90% of the battle. I also am enjoying learning how to use the Cavitron BuzzBait. Both fish I've caught on them have been "Mega" fun. My Best Rod

NCAA Footballs #1
LSU looked as good as it gets last night Catt and btw, Oklahoma wasn't to bad either. I still would like to see USC come to Lincoln #1 as it makes for good TV, but if we don't play better than we did yesterday we may make them look better than they are. Great win and don't forget we educated Pelini for you. GO BIG RED

Are you ready for some football?
I agree we are not the team that dominated the 90's. But Lincoln, NE is Lincoln, NE. There will be 86,000 wearing red and let me guarantee that it wont be the socialites we seen at the colisium last year. I realize that USC will be and should be favored. But I also believe that I have the chance on Sunday, September 16th and from that day forward to say, "I was there for the greatest upset in Nebraska History." It should be so much fun, as I stated the anticipation is wild in Nebraska, I can't wait. GO BIG RED

Are you ready for some football?
Catt, I wasn't aware you had Middle Tenn, what I was saying is that USC's next game was in Lincoln vs Nebraska. A Cornhusker win would put LSU in 1st. I assumed you would become a Cornhusker fan for a little while. GO BIG RED
