Leader to Braid Knot Help
Please help me with a few questions. 1. Im tying 15# Pline Fluorocarbon line to 50# and 30# Sufix Braid. Should I be using the fluoro leader line? If so what is the difference for $18 for 300 yds on the fluoro line vs. 25 meters for $8 on the leader line? 2. It seems split on whether to use a leader of tie straight to the braid. Tom Redington said to always use a leader so I've tried to follow his advice. BTW our water isn't overly clear in Nebraska. 3. I'm tying a double uni and on snags my line breaks at the leader knot. The braid knot is there along with a coil of fluoro. So it appears the leader knot or line is at fault. Your opinions/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. GO BIG RED

Windy Bass Behavior help please
Thanks RW, I always heard that the wind blew the bait fish and that didn't make since to me, however baitfish following their food source does. GO BIG RED

I think it's time for me to get a dog.
Robert, are you a bird hunter if so the Vizsla or Shorthair is hard to beat. If not I would consider a Labradoodle or a Goldendoodle. Don't let the stupid name fool you they are wonderful pets. Limited to no shedding, smart, loyal and loveable. We have had Nick for 3 years and couldn't be happier. Both of our best friends purchase Goldendoodles after our purchase and are very happy. They are bred to size choice but that also eliminates the rescue people as a rule. GO BIG RED

Cleaning scum off of boat!
I have a 2 year old Stratos that is white. I cleaned and waxed it over the weekend and wasn't able to remove the layer of scum that had built up over the last year. Someone suggested acidtone (sp)? I used Meginnis cleaner wax and a boating product but still have the scum. Would appreciate some suggestions from the forum. Thanks for you input in advance. GO BIG RED!

A few fish from around the area ( Nebraska, Missouri)
Finally got out and got to do some fishing. The 1st two pics are a buddy and I at Mozingo lake in Missouri. We caught 17 that day with the largest at 5#, a couple of 4's no monsters but fun The 3rd pic is my son with a 3 at Wehrspan in Omaha. The last was a guy with a huge carp. We stopped our fishing for 20 minutes and watched him fight it through the trees and to the bank. Was worth the admission Have also had some success out at Walnut but no camera. Have a great day and GO BIG RED.

Omaha lakes
Walnut and Praire View during the week are great, weekends suck. Wehrspan isn't to bad, lots of crappie and walleye boys. Zorinsky has not produce fish for almost 3 years, when you do catch one it is usually a good one. I fish it alot as it is 5 min from the house and I keep wishing and hoping. There are several good lake with in 2.5 hours. 3 mile in Iowa, Mozingo in Missouri, and several in Northern Kansas that others on this forum fish but I haven't as of yet. I buy 5 states licenses a year and haul the boat. Good Luck and GO BIG RED

polarized sunglasses
I stepped on my Jason Quinn sponsored sunglasses, ie. Costa Del Mars. (Im not selling nothing) Sent them in and they replaced them for half price. I was thankful because I would have bought another pair at full price. I switched last year from Ray Bans and the difference is extremely noticible. Just my 2 cents. GO BIG RED

Guide info for Lake Fork
Tom Redington if he is available. Book as soon as you get your dates set. John Tanner is one I wouldn't be afraid of either. If your taking your boat a guy name Roy Greer is unique as he will get on your boat and guide for a little less money. GO BIG RED
