Weightless rage craw in preen pumpkin is still in the lead. Spinnerbait is closing in fast as is a jig with rage craw trailer.

It’s actually a couple dollars cheaper then the f&s rod I was looking at.

Yeah, I’m not trying to get crazy. I just can’t make up my mind on ultra light or light. The place I bring him there all just staring back up at you anyway.

That’s basically the same thing I was bringing with me. Right down to the spinning rod.

My grandson insists he just wants to fish for sunfish so if I can’t beat him I might as well join him when we go together. So I’m gonna grab a mediocre set up for it so I can have more fun with it. I think I e decided on the president in the 20 size, and there is a field and stream rod that is ok enough. My ? Is they have a 5’ ultra light/fast and a 5’-6” light fast. Not sure wich one to get. I’m leaning towards the 5’-6”. This setup is about $75 that’s all I want to spend on this but don’t want anything less then that either.

I forgot about the glasses and decided to try this out it was on sale and I couldn’t help it. I’m week. It should help out with depth, structure and stuff like that.

That’s next on my list a good pair of glasses.

Yeah, I have the backpack also. I find I switch baits to often when I have to much stuff, and the loaded backpack is 50 pounds it feels like. I’m trying to learn to make a decision when I get there and look at the water. Basically take a few options I think fit the conditions that day and give them a chance to work or not. I feel like I learn more about each individual outing this way opposed to just junk fishing everything I have. I seem to be catching more fish and more quality fish on purpose this way if that makes sense.

A little something I came up with in my search to hike and bring a few choices. It has a space for a few spinnerbaits/chatterbait and swimbaits. A 1.5 and 2.5 crankbait. A spot for a couple jigs and a space to throw a couple different size hooks and weights. Also a little more than a bag And a half of plastics that can be mixed and matched for the outing. It’s the 5”x 9” box about a 1-1/4” thick modified for the baits I wanted to bring. Fits in the back pocket of a pair of loose jeans or in any cargo pocket. Knife and pliers In Your other pocket and your on the move. It’s basically given me two choices each for three rods.

It was the only thing that worked in those exact same conditions in clear water. Very subtle thump in spot remover and green back shad.

This was the first one I’ve ever weighed. Only because it was the biggest one I’ve ever seen. I don’t mind catching them they fight like hell.

Picked this up the other day been really catching them with it. Nothing big but sure having fun.

It’s a pickerel covered in dirt. I didn’t want to rinse it and try for another pick.

The new zman spinnerbaits have really been crushing it. I’ve only had them for two days but they’ve caught allot of fish from the banks. Thanks to the how long do you let your baits sit thread I’ve been doing really well with jigs also.

Just not the kind I was looking for. Still one heck of a fight out of this guy. Sorry for the crappy pic he was still pretty feisty flopping around and got covered in dirt. I really thought I was into a pretty big bass before I got to see it.
