was out at a local pond today and my father stopped by on his bike to say hi. I was dragging a jig with no luck yet. So he asks me how I like the new dc reel. The wind was blowing from behind me and I decided to put a 3/4 lipless on to really show off. I give it everything I got with a good gust of wind and it goes no lie 60+ yards, that’s well beyond my abilities. I get two cranks in and smash this was the result. It was awesome getting hammered from 60 yards away. If my scale keeps acting like this it’s not going to be invited on to many more trips.

about fishing this early. I picked up A few jerk baits witch I’m not good with. Don’t matter suspending, floating, slow sink they just come back full of crude. I got one fish on a vile craw weightless around a branch. I’ve went back with the vile craw and around again with a rage craw. It don’t matter. I met another guy who said he caught 7 around the pond and I believe him with a jerk bait. He cut down branches and earned the right to fish the bank. I’m not there yet with the bc. And that’s fine. But I watch him slowly fish with spinning rod and I can’t do it with my bc. I’m not trying to complain I’m on my second season with bc but sometimes I could just be fishing. I’m practicing hard but sometimes I just wanna fish, in the wind and go with what it is. This is just a rant cause when I decided to buy good gear I bought Good spinning gear first. I just got home from being cold for a few out playing. I hate to complain I’ve been waiting for this. Let me have it and teach me something. Please. I just read my own post. I think I ll use a little more spinning gear.

I find the urge is not so bad when I can actually go fishing. It will be a long time before I’m down to a dollar a fish.

Wasn’t very big, but got it out the way. Now that I got this small one I got all season to catch bigger ones.

Had things to do so didn’t make it out till later on Sunday. Not A single bite. It’s only been ice out for a few days so I think the bite if there is one is short in the warm part of the after noon. I could be wrong about that but it’s my best guess. Anyway it felt good to wet a line, will be trying again pretty much every chance I get. On a second note the currado dc is a real pleasure to play with, that was worth it alone to finally use it.

I used my k atleast 10 hours a week for 4 months no problems at all. Still smooth as can be.

I have dreams about megabass stuff being on sale.

I’m guessing he did since he ran to the store to get two more.

I’m in mass also everything reasonably close to me was froze up. Just checked, my faverite pond is open. Pretty sure two others will be good by this weekend.
