What do bass taste like?
Water temp has a great affect on the taste. The cooler the water the crisper the taste. The warmer the water the fishier the taste. All in all, it a great fillet for grilling, frying, blackening, and broiling. It just requires some good cajun seasoning and a hot pot of oil.

Favorite buzzbait
LOL, getting closer, but the Sugar Buzz weight is on the wire, not the hook so it can clack against the blade. So, it probably won't act the same. And it's $2.00 more... Not real sure why you're trying to find a similar bait when the Dinner Minner is readily available at Tackle Trap... Good luck in your search!

That was the fishing gods telling you to STAY IN THE BOAT.... After fishing in a boat for most of my life bank fishing is always a unique challenge.

Hook Junk Cause More/Less Bites?
One of my favorite ways to catch bass it to snap a single bladed spinnerbait free from a clump of coon tail. I reel up to the clump then snap the bait thru it. Often times a bass will inhale the bait as it comes free, grass and all. However, on a slower, more methodical presentation I ascribe to the belief that cleanliness is next to godliness.....

Favorite buzzbait
No, that's the actual swim bait that comes with the bait. You can also buy more of those as well from Bull Sluice. Not quite. The Dirty Jigs version doesn't have a swivel point between the wire and the head. So, it's a one piece rigid bait. And the swivel point is the biggest difference here....

Favorite buzzbait
Reluctantly, I'm gonna let the proverbial cat out of the bag. I've been using a buzz bait for several years now that has been a huge producer for me. It hinges at the head and that prevents the blade from spinning on the cast. So, you can cast this thing 17 miles. It's basically a jig head with a paddle tail swim bait on it. There are also a few skirted versions. It's called the Dinner Minner by Bull Sluice Outfitters. I buy mine from the Tackle Trap. It flat out catches fish.

Bank fishing dos and donts.
If you're fishing fairly open water swap to a popper like a Rebel Pop-R. With two trebles your hook up ratio will be much better. It's very easy to fish. Cast out and twitch your rod to create a pop or spit. Pop, pop, pause. Reel up your slack as you pop, pop, pop pause. Most of your strikes will be on the pause. Remember to fish monofilament line because fluorocarbon sinks and kills the action of your bait. Braid will work in a tight. It tends to get tangled in the trebles on a stop and go retrieve, though. Good luck!

Thinking about a new boat
Lund isn't readily available in Ms. Neither do we need the tall sides and deep V hulls. Ms has few lakes that see big waves. @SeaCrow It really depends on the lakes you'll fish. If you're fishing stumps and trees you don't want a boat with grooves or channels in the hull. They'll hang up on EVERYTHING. Ranger builds a fine aluminum boat until you start fishing stumps....then you'll hate it and yourself. However, if all you fish is deep reservoirs I won't matter much. I have a G3 175 Eagle with a 90 Yamaha 4 stroke. It's a smooth bottom and handles very well. Fully loaded I GPS 42-43 MPH consistently. I also use a 24 V 80-lb thrust Ultrex. Best thing I've ever put on my boat. With your price range you can go a bit shorter and really deck it out or you can go longer with a bigger motor and have to be more of a spendthrift on your electronics, trolling motor, and such.

Favorite Popping Style Frog ?
Jackall Gavacho Frog in Chartreuse Strike Gill.

Solid Starter Frog?
I'll be the odd man out here and give you another choice that works very well for me. The Jackall Gavacho Frog. I has a cupped mouth the will spit water and yet you can walk it with very little effort. Even with the cupped mouth I fish it in the slop. The hooks are beasts that are angled just right for high percentage hookups. This is a slimmer frog yet it's longer. And the Chartreuse Strike Gill has produced my biggest frog bass this year.

I did a search and nothing came up for Ned Rig?!?
My search for "ned rig" resulted in 2,525 matches.... Like WRB stated, it's all the way at the top right.
- Ranger Boats finally came out with the perfect Trolling Motor Foot Pedal Compartment

They make it look so easy
THIS!! Press down and you're headed right. Lift up and you're headed left... A few trips and you'll not even think about it. Muscle memory is amazing.

Thoughts on 832 superline?
Maybe so. I own several St. Croix rods and have never heard MONO passing thru the guides. But, then again, my ears have a lot of mileage on them, LOL!

Thoughts on 832 superline?
There's a great possibility one of your guide inserts is cracked, gouged, or totally missing. This will cause noise and help you lose baits on casts and fish on hook sets...

I need help...
Topwater fishing is a ton of fun. Remember to use mono for the desired stretch and flotation. Try a popper and a plopper. These can be cast on spinning or casting gear. Target the bank and any structure. Give them a little time and you'll see success. Topwater techniques are best at first and last light. However, overcast days provide many hours of good topwater fishing. Bass that are shallow relate to cover. Cover is anything that the bass chooses to hide beside or under. Logs, docks, grass, pads, and anything else that's stationary. So, fish your lure as close to this stuff as possible without hang up. Popper: Cast it out. After it settles on the water give it a 3 series of twitches which should result in your popper popping and spitting water. Pause a second or two after. Repeat until you've fished well beyond the strike zone. Reel in and cast to the next target. Plopper: Cast it out. Reel it in. Pretty much as simple as that. Keep your speed as slow as possible and yet still achieve the plopping sound from the bait. Sometimes the bass will short strike or boil directly behind the bait. Pause your retrieve immediately. After a short pause twitch it a time or two then resume your retrieve. Often times the bass will explode on it and give you a heart attack. Obviously, these applications don't work ALL the time. But, when the day is breaking and the weather is warm you stand a great chance at catching your best fish of the day on these or similar baits. Hope this helps.....

Either @Catt is going deaf or @BassWhole! has super sensitive hearing....... Or, it could just be the type of rod guides.......

How many variables do you change at a time?
Before you totally destroy the whole lake dial 'em up on a telephone.....the faster you crank the bigger the fish, lol!

How many variables do you change at a time?
One thing to consider here is the location of the advice givers and whether they're fishing for green, brown, or spotted bass. Often times a largemouth will be super shallow under a log while the spots are on a long point all congregated up together in a school. I have no idea what a brown bass does as I've never had the opportunity to fish for one. (That's a bucket list item) So, take into consideration the species most fished for as you peruse these answers. When I'm fishing for spots I'll change locations much faster than when I'm targeting largemouth because of the nature of the fish. Spots congregate and school much more than largemouth, in my lakes anyway. So, you can fish right by a largemouth with the wrong bait and he won't move. Then again, you can have the EXACT bait and be on the wrong point and never catch a spot. But, when you DO hit all the right buttons the action is often fast, furious and predictable.

Gene Larew Rock Banger
While I've not caught a fish yet on these, they have amazing action. And they're no thicker than a large paddle tail Swimbait. I will catch fish on it, I'm sure. The action is that good on the swing head jig hooks. I'll try to update as soon as I get a chance to actually fish it. I tested the action in my pool and was very impressed.

Old Plastics
I still have some old Manns Jelly worms and others that my Dad bought back in the late 70's and they're still useable. I think the "oils" actually prevent them from breaking down. That may not be the case with the newer formulas of plastics, but the old formulas thrive in the juice....

Sufix Advance 100% Fluorocarbon
Key word: VIRTUALLY.... That opens that statement up to any definition of memory-free...

Past years or new?
The older ones pale in comparison to the SV spools on Tatula's. I own Lews, Abu's, Shimano's, and Daiwa's. None of the others can compete with the function of the SV spool, regardless of age. Even the DC reels can't skip a lure as well as the SV spools IMHO.

Why I fish but do not hunt since age 12.
Popcorn in hand! This ought to get interesting before it gets shut down...... Although it appears cyclops threw the first punch and then hightailed it out of here......
