Lake O
Those are some insane weights! I was outside doing yard work today and the wind was so calm. I was day dreaming about how calm the lake must have been. Glad you had a fantastic day Bruce. It must have been gorgeous.

Lost My Mojo, Need Feedback
You might have a fuel hose issue. I would replace all the fuel hoses with quality hose from the tank to the motor. Also replace the priming bulb. With ethanol added to gasoline, it causes some types of hose to deteriorate and delaminate internally so that when under load, it actually pinches off the hose and the gas flow. The same with the bulb. The check valves can fail. If you have an inline or canister filter, change that too. I would do all of this before taking it to a repair shop and spending lots of money. It has happened to me. By the way, changing a fuel pump is really quite easy too.

2 for 4 with a kicker
I wouldn't mind chipping in for gas if there is an open seat, or rod holder.

South Florida Get Together Rd. 2
Looks like it will be on next Friday then. First light to noon?

2 for 4 with a kicker
The salt fishing report today looks really good for the weekend. Big kings, Black fin tuna, mutton snapper, mahi, all biting in 90-160 ft off of Lauderdale by the Sea. I might go out on the Helen S.

South Florida Get Together Rd. 2
If they do close the refuge, alligator alley might be a good alternative. Hopefully they will come to some kind of agreement and we can fish Loxahatchee.

South Florida Get Together Rd. 2
It is located north of Parkland, 7 miles west of 441/SR7 at the west end of the Hillsboro canal and Lox Rd.

South Florida Get Together Rd. 2
I missed the last get together, so I am looking forward to going to this one. Lox would be great. The south ramp would be my choice. Any week day is fine. I am working nights so I will have to take some hours off. Hopefully we can decide over the next few days.

What would you pay for a 99 mercury 9.9hp motor?
A twelve year old 9.9 motor, I would start the bid at $600.

Anyone fishing lake O this weekend?
The east wall area;) The big fish are coming from occupied beds if you can find them. They spook easily. I was using gambler Ez's and rage craw's.

Anyone fishing lake O this weekend?
On Saturday I fished along the alligator alley. I launched from the fire station/rest area SE boat ramp. I did pretty well with EZ's catching about 15 bass up to 3.5 lbs during the middle of the day. On Sunday morning I fished out of Clewiston and struck out on the big bass. A lot of dink action, but nothing over 3 lbs. I saw a couple of big ones, but they would not bite.

Looking for Partner - Sebring
The last time I fished Istopoga I had some success fishing the edges and holes in the hydrilla mats out in the open water in the south/southwest areas of the lake. Pumpkin/red glitter trick worms worked slowly were catching them on that day. I also bagged a couple of bass using white frogs. At Iso, look for areas to fish where there is clean clear water with a sandy bottom if you can find it.

Going for Peacock and Largemouths in Fort Lauderdale area?
The Pompano Beach drift boat action for king fish and snapper should be good in the Atlantic ocean as well. The four hour trip includes bait and fishing pole. May should be an excellent month for fishing in south Florida, fresh or salt. Enjoy your vacation.

Anyone fishing lake O this weekend?
Hey Sal, The fishing at the big lake is just too good right now. Besides, pre-fishing has not helped me at all on the kotg. I am going to change up my routine and not pre-fish and see how I do. I have my spots from fishing there for years. Eric, even I can catch a slab at the O right now.. South Fla, my camera is fixed, hopefully I will have something worthy to shoot.

FLW coverage of Okeechobee Tournament
I do that with my 10-12" worm rig. I use 20-25#flouro with about an 18" leader and it works pretty good for me particularly in clearer water. My biggest fish at "O" have been caught dragging that rig around on hard bottoms Thanks Sal

This Kayaker is WINNING
I don't know what type of shark it is but that would be a little bit unnerving to say the least. Years ago I was in a 17' formula about 1 mile off of Ft Lauderdale when a 30' whale shark passed within 20' of my boat. They skim the ocean too. At first I was nervous but then I marveled at one of natures creatures.

Would there be any advantage of using a fluorocarbon leader with braid? I was thinking about giving it a try.

Glorious ending to a "Dinky Day"...
Nice catch snook. I fished out at Loxahatchee today and did not fare as well as you... 4 dinks, and big mud fish and a gar. I might have to start beating some of the banks here around town. Kayaking looks like a lot of fun.

Aw man!!!! (re: Battle: Los Angeles)
I will go see the movie, sci-fi is best watched on a theater screen IMO. The sci-fi movies today have to much computer generated content. I like the special effects, but not for 120 minutes.
