The weather looks like it will be real nice this weekend. If you see a 80's Ranger 373 tan/brown, give me a shout. Good luck guys.
  2. A total embarrassment. Hats off to NE. They look super.
  3. Carbed Merc should be started level. Make sure the fuel bulb is primed. Hold the key(prime) in for 5 seconds. Give the throttle a little bit of gas in neutral while turning the ignition key, starting the motor. I do this every time with my Merc 150 and she fires on the first or second attempt.
  4. The issue with outboard motors can get murky, especially with older motors that have had the power head replaced. A separate bill of sale with the motor serial number should suffice. I personally would not use craigslist for anything over 100.00 There are some amazing deals on there, but buyer beware. I bought a child seat for my bicycle off of CL for $10. It was in excellent shape but missing a piece of the mounting bracket. I could not use it until I fabricated a new one at my employers machine shop. Works great.
  5. Satan is a power hungry ego maniac. He wears out his welcome wherever he goes.
  6. That is just wrong!
  7. Wishing everyone all the best in 2011
  8. Is the Saturday T at HP a club or open T?
  9. If the cowboys fans and Jones sell their souls to Satan, you guys will be eternally sorry. Saban is a dictator, with stupid media rules. The players and staff will hate him. Once he wears out his welcome, and collects his cash, he will weasel out of town. Lying all the way.

Great dog...my three year old loved the video. thanks
  11. I am new to this so I do not know. I would expect the T fee is the same. Hopefully, if Gambler is involved, they sweeten up the prize money.
  12. I just went to the KOTG web site. I am in this year. Wow this will be a lot of fun. I have the next 2 weekends off, time to visit HP and locate my bass. The 3/06 T at Clewiston is Gambler baits only?
  13. I might go for it this year. I will look into it. If the water level keeps dropping, HP should be on fire.
  14. I had my wisdom teeth cut out by a oral surgeon. He used what looked like a dremel with a small circular saw blade. After two series of shots, I could feel him working, smell the bone as he was cutting, watch the spraying liquids fly out of my mouth, and spitting out all the blood, the stitching. It really didn't hurt...until the nova cane wore off. I think it works fine for most folks. A small cavity...sheesh.
  15. I finally caught some bass at Lox Sunday. Grand total from my last twp trips there - 1 snagged bream. I ended up with a 4,2,2. I fished trick worms slowly inside and out of the bull rushes and cover. I fished the inside canal that runs NE about 100 yards north of the ramp. The bass were biting lethargically, the hits were very slight. The weather was terrible, WNW wind, cool, and some showers. I fished from 9:30 - 12:00. There was some kind of tourney going on. All of the boats pulled up to the ramp at 12:00. Everyone was in a hurry, so I didn't get to ask them how they did. I noticed a new sign announcing the construction of a new water storage impoundment east of the ramps. There will be periodic closings of the east canal to hikers and boating traffic. I am wondering if this new area will be open to boating or if it will be sealed off by levees.
  16. I have friends that fly Rc airplanes. I saw flying lawn mowers during the 70's. That one is pretty cool though.
  17. I love listening to Grand Funk Railroad. Three Dog Night is another favorite from that era.
  18. I hope you feel better soon Burley.
  19. Sorry about your grandpa. I just lost a good friend, club member, and fishing buddy two weeks ago. Cancer took him. All of the guys miss him.
  20. IMO, Brady and the Patriots are on fire right now. If they keep this going, the will go to the super bowl. Baltimore will be a speed bump on their way. San Diego might give them a game, but they will not play well in snowy NE. A week ago, I thought Chicago might be a match for them, until they got flattened. I agree with Long Mike, the only team with a legitimate chance of scoring some points coming out of the NFC is the New Orleans Saints. That would be a great match up.
  21. I agree that he stressed graduation, and he was a good mentor to some of the football players. But, he did not do everything right, especially when it pertains to coaching. The team is stocked with talent, and he was unable to win the games against the better teams. He was terrible at making halftime adjustments. I think he was in over his head as a college head coach. It was the correct move by the university to make a change. The last few years have been real disappointing. Shannon is a nice man, and his talents as a defensive coordinator are his strength.
  22. The Miami program never really flourished under Shannon. Hopefully the new coach will have better results. I do not know much about Golden, but hopefully he is more animated and involved on the sideline and better at making adjustments on the fly. Shannon usually just stood there like a cardboard cut out with his arms crossed watching the wheels fall off. Shannon seemed to me as too much the players coach. I think the program needs are more authoritative type of guy.
