  1. I went out to Lox this morning for a couple of hours and the wind was ridiculous blowing from the west. Probably a steady 25 plus gusts to 35. It is going to be real tough at Lake O. There should be some reports soon.
  2. That bass looks a little thin so I would guess 4-4.5 lb Fattened up, 6-7 lbs
  3. I was just looking at the thread started by Krzkev and thinking that they might be killed by this cold front. It looks like the cold has already done some damage. I guess we can hope a few survive and the lakes can repopulate. Do the peacocks survive in Miami because of the aquifer fed lakes? It should be nearly as cold there.
  4. That is some serious dough. You have as good chance as anyone. How do they start this T? Release 20 boats at a time?
  5. Good luck finding a parking spot. It should be a great T Good luck you guys.
  6. Thanks to the Patriots for shutting up the Jets fans. Hopefully the Fins will show up and thump them next week.
  7. Ah, come on, it is refreshing! The worst part is that the bass are tucked in deep in the cover. I went out to lox Sunday afternoon and got blanked.
  8. I guess it depends on the age, brand and size of the motor. Sometimes the bolts are corroded and break. I tried to change one on a 1979 140 Evinrude and I could not get the shift lever to disengage. I ended up bringing the partially disassembled motor to the repair shop. On my current boat, it has a Mercury 150 and it is really easy. It came apart and went back together with little trouble. Make sure the impeller blade is slightly lubed and the blades are installed bent in the direction that it came apart.
  9. I might be wrong but didn't Lloyd Bridges say that line?
  10. The Fins are 5-1 on the road. Maybe they should live in a hotel before the home games. The raiders have a terrible QB and coaching staff situation. It makes Miami look QB rich and coaching geniuses.
  11. "I just want you to know, we are all counting on you" Scene from Airplane as Ted tries to land the passenger jet. RIP

I owned a Ithaca featherlight 20 years ago. Very nice shotgun. I gave it to my brother and he later sold it. As far as the current topic, my vote is for the Remington 870
  13. IMHO.. Bogart was always Bogart. Clark Gable and Erroll Flynn were more versatile actors
  14. IMHO.. One of John Wayne's best movies was "In Harms Way"
  15. The Sun-Sentinel article I read mentioned the Caloosahatchee river and bay that runs west from the lake and past Cape Coral out to the gulf of Mexico. I assume the fresh water releases help the estuaries in the bay.
  16. Nice bass Rhino. How much did she weigh? My family has a nice farm in Vidalia with a pond similar to that one. It is loaded with bluegill, bass and catfish. I love to fish there when we are visiting.
  17. 13.08 ft and falling as of 11/26/10. The SFWMD is still lowering the lake for the environmental health of the rivers downstream.
  18. Happy Thanksgiving
  19. I hope it clears up on it's own, but you should really see a doctor to make sure it is not anything chronic or serious.
  20. Nice work. I especially like the pavers along the side of the house. Less grass to cut and more space.
  21. I can feel your pain. The Miami Dolphins are decimated by injuries and they are becoming a league joke. They are probably the worst team in the NFL right now.
  22. Break out the sweatpants, it's 2 days away 8-) LOL. The eating/food tasting while cooking usually leaves me full before I sit down to actually eat.
  23. Marinated baked turkey and my granny's recipe for cornbread stuffing. My wife loves to bake pies, so there will be some great deserts too.
  24. Try the lake at the west end of Wiles road. You can park on the side of the road. The lake connects to canals that will take you into the Heron Bay canals. Fast retrieve spinner baits, crank baits, or shiners. For the eagle trace lakes, you could launch at the canal behind the publix on coral ridge drive.
