I enjoyed the ride on the Heat band wagon all season long. The team has had its ups and downs, but this season was above expectations. The Heat will improve and challenge again next season. No sad feelings about the series loss. The Mavs out played them and deserved to win. LeBron did what he wanted to do by leaving Cleveland to win a championship. He came up short and his performances were poor at the end of the games. He knows that. The team will be improved next season, looking forward to many more seasons of Heat NBA playoffs.
  2. It is a huge loss to the music world. As a former tenor sax player, I enjoyed his music and stylings. Rest in peace Clarence
  3. I'm headed up to the great lakes (Chicago,Indianapolis, Cleveland) this October. I will definitely look for some ethnic bakeries and give them a try. The mineral content certainly affects the flavors and textures. I will try to pay more attention to the breads in the future. I have traveled quite extensively (nationally, Russia, Europe)and some areas do have a higher mineral content. It is not really appealing to me as far as water goes. I guess it comes down to what you are used too. Being from south Florida, the swamp water here when purified, tastes pretty good to me.
  4. My little 3 year old daughter already tipped me off that she has a "surprise" for me tomorrow. She is just adorable.
  5. When I think of water purity, none of those cities come to mind. My wife bakes home made bread. It is the best, usually all natural, and fresh out of the oven.
  6. The sod farmers must love these mandatory water restrictions...my green lawn is looking like straw..great for business. There is really something wrong with the decision makers at the ACE and SFWMD. Hopefully this drought will bring some changes to the powers that be..
  7. Nice catch Bruce. It must be nice to have the summer off.
  8. The recent changes to the site have made navigation much easier. I like the new format. BR is clearly the best fishing site.
  9. Hey George, how's the fishing been at the Stick Marsh/Garcia? I haven't seen you posting in a while.
  10. There are bass all over the area. You could fish from shore with live bait and catch a few. As was mentioned, forget about fishing anywhere in the 2nd picture. That area is used by air boats. In the first picture, fish the canal that runs along the bank just below the arrow on the far right. Fish it on the south side of the bank heading northeast. You will have the bank to your left and hydrilla on your right.
  11. The Heat is just going to get better next season. They will add a quality center and maybe change point guard. The Mavericks just played better as a team and their coach adjusted better in the series. They deserved to win and they did. Enjoy your trophy..it was your time.
  12. My 2005 ford F 150 super crew gets 15-18 with a 5.4L on flat Florida roads. I am surprised that the Toyota get worse mileage.
  13. Congrats to the Mav's and their classy fans. Humble pie never tastes very good. The Heat fell short, but they will be back!
  14. If you haven't changed the fuel lines and bulb, do it. From the tank to the motor. The Ethanol in the gas can delaminate the inside of the fuel lines in a couple of years. The outside might look fine, but the inside is rotting. When the hose pulls a vacuum, the inner hose lining seals off the inside of the hose. Make sure you use good quality fuel hose. The check valves in the bulb can go bad too. Do not buy a Wally World part. Get the OEM or equivalent. Rebuild the fuel pump. It is very easy if you are somewhat mechanically inclined, under 1 hour. If that doesn't solve your problem, inspect the inside of the gas tank. There might be something floating in there blocking the pick up tube. You might want to think about doing a proper carb rebuild too. You do not want to run with a lean cylinder. I hope some of this helps.
  15. No football, then no Bass resource
  16. Although things look troubling for Miami and great for Dallas, I am sticking to my original prediction of Miami in 7. I think the Heat will play with more energy and enthusiasm at home. LeBron should play better. The refs will provide some home cooking. It is playing out as I had expected. Regardless of who wins the championship, both teams are deserving.
  17. Some folks are just hooked on drugs and continue to collect welfare while working off the books. The system is full of abuse and fraud. I have mixed feeling about the law because the ones that are always hurt the most are the kids of the drug users. The kids will have less than they have now. The druggie parents will still get their drugs.
  18. I have a couple of Atlantic beach ocean shots taken from my Nikon D90 that are absolutely amazing. How can I post them here and do them justice?
  19. Great job Bruce. You are a great fisherman, anyone that has fished with you knows that for a fact. You'll get them next year. Maybe there should be some new rules for the classic next year since there is only 10 boats. A 50-100 yard cushion or disqualification. Honest guys spend a lot of time and money pre-fishing and a scum bug just tries to muscle in. It isn't right.
  20. A great series so far. The Mavs played pretty good at home but the Miami's Bosh was finally able to make a shot at the end. Both teams had a chance to win in every game.
  21. Sawgrass is still a good option. The ramp at the park and the one off of US 27 are still usable. The water was clean and I caught a nice 5# chunk there 2 weeks ago. HP can be a zoo, I usually get there really early or after a tourney launch to avoid problems.
  22. The thing about the code red is the boost can be preset for each gear giving you some traction control. A truck would probably be too light on the rear axle, so a Expedition project might be a better platform to make use of all that power. Old Crown Vic...I am thinking it would run like that Crown Victoria in the 1st Men in Black movie
  23. Mustangs are the original. All of the other "pony cars" are just facsimiles. I agree though, the mustang is a kiddy car compared to the performance of a GT. No question. It would be cool to see that code red 5.4 1200HP in a full size car or pick up truck or SUV. That would be a definite sleeper and surely put a few bow tie owners into shock.
  24. Nice job by the cop. The cops wife handled the towel exchange perfect. Putting myself in that situation, I don't think my wife would have handled it right. The result might have been tragic for us. She is afraid of guns. I need to take her to the range to get her comfortable. Living in this jungle down here, you never know when danger will find you. This really makes you think. I have fished south and central Florida for years with no crime problems. I never leave anything of value in plain sight in my truck, not even power cords of any kind.
  25. Check the wires leading to the solenoid for rot. Also verify that the wires are hooked up properly.
